Just saw on google a link back to here from years ago as to where that miserable old hick TomTalker had got to and was he still alive. That'd be Krusty for one, George Ackely Todd and some more. Yup I'm still alive and yup I'm still making calls. Got handshak'n distance with The Devil a couple of times but they gutted me out, scraped out the bad and sewed me back together with the addition of a rather gross apliance to give my lower portion a year to rest. Another trip to the Vet last year repaired that and I was out and shot a deer a week after surgery. Doc says I'll make to a hundred now lol' Making mostly turkey calls right now but some predator calls are comming off the lathes too. Sold one out the door yesterday as a matter of fact and took an order for another.
I have made a lot of changes in the shop too since my "disappearance" lol. More equipment and bigger equipment. Presently I have three lathes set up and my little guy that used to turn out my predater calls mainly does sanding of pot calls. I have my Northstar Carver set up again too along with bigger bandsaw and a monster Rockwell 12" disc and 6X48 belt sander. That sander is quite an upgrade fom the days of the Makita upside down in a vise lol. I can really get a nose full of sawdust now.
Her's some from this February.

Most of the stuff I have been doing has been sold localy. I suply a local gun shop and have two shows coming up. Sorry for the long abcence.
Oh BTW here's a link to some turkey calls some older but most fairly recent.

Good deal! Made bail, eh? (just kidding)

Keep up the good work. With Cronk gone to the happy hunting grounds, somebody needs to take up the slack. Say "Hi" to Krusty.

Good hunting. El Bee

I wondered about Rick. I knew he had health problems. How long ago. Also been wondering about Mr Grantham. I use one of his calls quite often. He said at the time it would be his last but something tells me it wasn't lol.I wasn't going to use it but got thinking he'd rather know that I did and I do so with pride and admiration for a great call maker. He and I had a bit off a run in with Sir Cronk about the same time lol.
Just came back from the Hardware store with a new heater so some chips will be flying this afternoon.
KRUSTY! How ya been son?

Thanks LH
Just took a look over at PM to get the news on Rich Cronk. I now kind of understand why about a week ago I heard a rattling in the attic and in the morning all my horn howlers were turned in the opposite direction that I left them HMM

The information is all here, you didn't have to go on PM. Unless you want to, of course.

Thanks Leonard. I knew he had serious heart trouble a few years back as he posted some pics of his scars after bi pass surgery.BTW my first visit @PM in quite a few years lol. I kinda made some amends with him on a believe it or not Turkey forum but had no contact after that.

Hey stranger, we're always wondering about ya!

Glad ya kicked your dance partner to the curb!!

Richard Grantham passed in Nov 2008 if I remember correctly. Among a laundry list of issues, he fell to the same thing as Rich Cronk.

I'm always around but don't post as much because I do most of it via my phone.

No turkeys here but I would still move to get one of those calls from ya. Seen a couple in the pics I really liked. I hope to start going back to the states annually to do some hunting.

Everything's still the same with me except the kids are older. I'm laid up after having a lower bicep tendon reattached.

I need exchange contact info with ya.

I also put up a Facebook group about a month ago for call discussion etc. Feel free to pop over and sign up who ever wishes. Group is "Catfish Creek Calls". Most of those members at present are younger guys and would be nice to see a couple veterans on board lol.
