Family of armed robbery suspect annoyed that bystander shot him 10:41 AM 11/25/2013 The family of an armed robbery suspect is ticked off that a “Good Samaritan” shot their kin while he attempted to rob a dollar store in Mobile, Ala.
According to the local Fox affiliate, the Good Samaritan says he shot 18-year-old Adric White in self defense:
The Good Samaritan, who we are not identifying, told FOX10 News he was shopping at the Family Dollar on Stanton road when he noticed a masked gunman leading one of the employees to the front of the store.
“He had the gun to his head. He had him on his knees,” said the man. “I drew my gun on him and I said ‘Hey don’t move.’ At that point he swung around and before he had a chance to aim the gun at me I fired. I didn’t want to shoot him.” [...]
“If his (the customer) life was not in danger, if no one had a gun up to him, if no one pointed a gun at him – what gives him the right to think that it’s okay to just shoot someone?” said the relative. “You should have just left the store and went wherever you had to go in your car or whatever.”
Guns.com reports that White was shot five times and is recovering at a local hospital. He remains in police custody.
The Good Samaritan was justified in shooting the robber, police say.

I'm annoyed that the dirtbag was shot five times and is recovering. Let's all make a New Years Resolution to spend more time doing that draw-point-shoot thing on the practice range.

'Adric'??? What kind of a name is 'Adric'? Is he a Hispanic gentleman? Or perhaps 'Adric' is a Japanese name? Someone please clarify for me...

Of course, the media censors race but don't you think it's obvious considering the comments made by the perps relative? One guess, who thinks like that, and I'm no racist, some of my best friends are of that race.
IT'S OBVIOUS; WHO HAS SUCH LITTLE REGARD FOR HUMANITY, TO SHOOT A BABY IN THE FACE?
WHAT 18 YEAR OLD FORCES A CLERK TO THEIR KNEES WITH A GUN TO HIS HEAD?
WHO IS GETTING BIG LAUGHS PLAYING THE KNOCKOUT GAME?
WHO THINKS EVERY ACTION IS RACIALLY MOTIVATED?
Okay, enough hints. Who are we talking about...and if I'm wrong, I WILL apologize.
Good hunting. El Bee

There's no substitute for a larger caliber. I doubt he would be recovering from 5 wadcutters out the end of a .45

Ah yes, the age old conflict; a small caliber, easy to carry piece that you always have with you or a serious git-er-done caliber that's big, bulky & gets left in the truck too often. What's a happy medium????

The happy medium is a model 60 smith and wesson. Small but five good 38 special rounds. I can carry in shorts and a tee shirt during a phoenix summer

I used to carry a Model 36 Lady Smith in 38Special until I gave it to my daughter. With 110/125 gr TNT's, five of them would make that asshole think/wish he was dead.
Either that, or the guy doing the shooting was shaking like Barney Fife?

Ok............I've got a .38 Special, small frame, five shot Smith / Wesson with a short barrel and no model info on it. Mayhap it's a 60. I've had it forever.

Yup............That's the one. My barrel's just a wee bit longer than most of those pictured. Surprisingly accurate when it wants to be. (I, of course, am never the cause of a miss.) ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)
