They're so cute when they're little!

Snow kicked my butt though. Two nights in it, never stopped snowing or blowing the whole time I was there. Got the Jeep stuck twice, once in a drift, once sliding backwards off the road when I had the pedal mashed trying to go forward NOT off the road. Digging and winching just isn't as much fun with nobody there to share it with
.
Got up this morning and bailed. Folded the tent and motored.
Got a few okay shots of some decent buck, but nothing great. Conditions were just too brutal.

Kind of odd looking "reindeer" antlers?
The first time I looked at this post, I didn't see a photo?
Great shot, as usual. Thanks, Dave. I was just reading about the blizzard up there. Too bad you had to leave, when it stops, they get very eager! Hunt the valleys, not the hills.
Good hunting. El Bee

I agree, almost looks like a miniature elk rack. I'd like to see what happens over the next few years with that one.
Your mission, Mr Affleck, should you choose to accept it...

Resemblance?

Took that picture almost exactly a year ago, within about 500 yards of the same spot. He definitely appeared to be hell bent on getting some, too.

Looks like the antlers of those little European Roe deer.

Nice buck. How are you posting pictures on this site? I use photo bucket and you can click on the pics and see all of my photo bucket pics.

Jim, I have more pictures of that buck from last year on my computer - not uploaded, can't post them. But looking at them, I'm fairly well convinced that is that little bucks Dad. He's got a pretty unusual rack for the area, only buck I've seen up there with one shaped like that. Too much coincidence for the little fella to have one so similar, in more or less exactly the same spot?
Dunno, of course, but I do think it is so!
AZ, to post the pictures... I copy the url of the picture from my imageevent account (same deal as photobucket), then paste it into what are called image tags.
Ends up looking like what I'm putting between quotes below:
"[img]paste picture address here[/img]"
I think if you use the "image" button that is below where I'm typing right now, it pops up something that you can paste the address into and makes the image tags for you. I'm just so use to doing it manually I've never actually tried using that button though.

AZ-N you may want to check in your photo bucket to see if you have access locked (private). Should see a padlock on right side of your photo album list.
