Just a wild guess but some cops wear a mask cause they do double duty like going under cover, it seems to help if the bad guy doesn't know your a cop to start with.. Your face also reflects what light there is and can be a dead give away just ask some of the local coyotes that got away on a stand..

TA, in honor of your youth (and your desire to do good over evil) allow me to position my trousers at half mast. A little sucking action to secure a better hold would be appropriate.
