The wife and I both applied for passport renewal at the same time sent in the same envelope. She has already received her new passport on Monday and today she received her old passport. Mine is being held up. What do you guys say? Koko, I may not be able to meet up with you at the trappers convention if this keeps up.

Yes Koko, it really sucks crossing counties today. Haven't your tried to get though those Apache Junction Check points lately. I mean DHS has all those cameras and high speed computers linked to the NSA facial recognition database. One look at you and they will be handing you a shaver so they can get a good look at you.
You are right Frank. I qualify to be on the terrorist watch list. Shit, I have a bunch of free flier miles left they will probably never let me use.

Well the plot thickens. I got the tracking number from the passport office and it shows that the Postal Service delivered it on June the 14th. I went to my post office with the tracking report and got a real dumbass. She kept pointing to a statement on the right of the tracking info that stated "expected delivery June 21st". I kept pointing to the line that said delivered on June 14th. I also informed the idiot that we had a mail hold on our mail from June 5th through June 17th so how could they deliver it and the passport wasn't in the bundle when we got back. I'm getting real sorry I voted for that radical Romney by this time.

Yep, looks like your fault, for sure.
I had something similar with my license tags last year. My son asked me about the tag and I forgot that I had not received it. Then I got the bureaucratic run around, I must wait so many weeks before filing a claim and it was too soon. So, I forgot about it and by the time I remembered, I was lucky because if I had waited another couple weeks, I would have to pony up the fee all over again, but I didn't get a logical reason. Somehow, I did get the tag several months after that. Again, it was probably my fault because I originally sent it in at least a month before it was due....you know, the date beyond which they would send my check back and fine me an unreasonable, additional amount? Which I pointed out to the drone that was answering the phone that day, but she didn't see my point.
It's all a plan to drive us crazy; and it's working!
