The thoughts within people's heads, and the actions they take because of them, amount to the root causative factors to many murders, even mass murders!

How do you control people's thoughts? Is it possible to create a safer society by doing it?

The purveyors of these kinds of ideas (media in most cases) has the red hand stained with blood.

If authorities in Brazil are proven right, a physician there is more Dr. Death than an angel of mercy.

An investigation by the country’s health ministry believes Virginia Soares de Souza could be responsible for the deaths of nearly 300 patients; she's currently accused of 20.

Her purported motive? To free up hospital beds.

De Souza is accused of "administering fatal doses of drugs or reducing the amount of oxygen" to terminally ill patients in the ICU of Hospital Evangelico in Curitiba.

If the allegations are true, de Souza would surpass Harold Shipman as the world’s deadliest doctor — the British man reportedly killed at least 215 patients over a span of 25 years.

Then we must discern between active versus passive actions of this sort. Thses doctors take an active role while insurance companies contribute input daily to hospitals and doctors across the country as to who will live and who will die by the provision of benefits for any particular service or the declining of those services based upon actuarial tables and the like, effectively killing people before the good Lord meant them to die. Every insurance company plays a role in either allowing or declining doctors to perform tests that will ultimately benefit the patient or declining those tests because of cost:benefit issues. I'd bet that there's a desk jockey at some BC/BS office somewhere that smokes those numbers hands down.
