This is a headline that appeared today on the cover of USA Today. Noticed it while sorting mail on my route this morning. Does anyone else see the flaw in logic of this headline? The story told of the near-critical shortage of adoptable babies in the USA, recently exacerbated by the policy changes being imposed in Russia.
In a perfect world, every baby born would have loving parents to care for him or her and there would be no need at all for adoptions. One can only assume that the fact that there aren't enough babies being born and, for all intents and purposes, abandoned by being offered for adoption, either due to fewer unplanned pregnancies or fewer babies being born to crack whores and subsequently taken from their baby mamas to meet the needs of childless couples seeking their own little bundle of joy would all be indicative of something to celebrate - something that is actually working like it should. Rather than the reverse situation where we see a sudden exacerbation in the number of abandoned newborns borne of unwanted pregnancies as a good thing (?). Would this huge increase be celebrated as a good thing by USA Today since it means more lonely parents-to-be get their chance at mother and father of the year?
I might not be too clear here, but the fact that we don't have orphanages full of abandoned babies in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of prospective parents doesn't seem to me to be a "critical" crisis? Quite the opposite, in fact. Just another example how screwed up the media is in this country.
I can see the headlines now, "Last Available Baby Adopted - Adoption Industry in Full Blown Panic! Plans to create more bastards and crack babies being developed by Obama Administration".
WTF?!?!?

Yes, the media can always distort something positive into dung. I hate to say it, but I think the Crack Baby Mammas have shit figured out. Keep ahold of the kids as it pays a higher first of the month dividend from Obama Corp.....
