With work winding down I have a little more time to watch the tube and got the chance to watch a few of Les shows and just wanted to thank Les for putting out some really good and no non-sense coyote calling shows that I can sit and watch from the beginning to the end....
Thanks Les.....

Edit to add: Has anyone else been watching them...

Are you watching Less on one of the outdoor channels or one DVD?

I used to get him on DirectTV but now I have Dish and if he's on it, I haven't found it.

But, I have met Les a couple times, he came to one of the campouts at Seligman a few years ago and it's hard not to like the guy. I'm a fan. And, I can't say that about most of the celebrities on TV.

Good hunting. El Bee

How come people keep inviting Kelly Jackson into their showers? Is he hung like a donkey, or what?

AZnative I catch Les shows on the outdoor hunting channel around 10:00 at night.. I have a direct T.V. satellite dish..
On week-end his show airs on Sat. mourning also if I remember correctly...
I also get 2-3 other Predator hunting shows but find I don't like to watch them very often..

Les is a nice guy in person and I also like how he handles his coyotes after the shot.

Thanks TA. I have Direct Tv and will look for him. I agree with you that most outdoor shows are dull. I've had a very bad cold lately and resting to get rid of it so lots of tv time. I'm starting to get better and I'm bored to death right now.

I just watched Alaska: The Last Frontier on Discovery and I've found it to be very entertaining compared to most reality tv shows. It is about a family that has lived off the land in Alaska for about 4 generations now. It turns out the Grandfather migrated to Alaska from Switzerland in the 30s to get away from Hitler. He believed Hitler was going to take over the world and wanted to live someplace where he and his family would be left alone. The skill set these people have to make do is educational in itself. City folks could learn a lot watching this show.

Yes, that is a great show. Almost make me want to move there. Almost.

Would it help make up your mind to get the oil dividend? Whatever they call it? I think it's about $1400 a year? Talk about a state that needs a dividend-Kalifornia! At least the working people, I mean. The suck ass dependent class; not so much.

Good hunting. Lima brav 0

AZnative; I watch that show along with Alaska state troopers. Both are pretty intertaining and educational.. Don't know if I would want to live there though... Alot of drunks up that way and if the locals don't go out and get a little sun they go nuts/crazy as well...

re: Alaska tv show, the granddaughter of Antz(?) the old man is Jewel the singer and wife of Ty Murray, several time world champion rodeo cowboy.
I have to add "the coldest winter i ever remember was a summer in Alaska". I know i stole that saying but it is true (to me). When i left Okie it was 90+ and i never saw the temp get above 42 while there.

Yeah, let's sell it back to the Ruskies, have no use for cold weather. As a permanent situation. It's nice to go romp in the snow for a few days, but that's when it get's old.

obammmmma is well ahead of us on that. The islands he just gave to Russia in the Bering sea is "poof". The oil there that Russia WILL produce makes me sick of him and his alternate fuel bull shit agenda'S'S'S'.

Hey Hey Hey, back off fellas. We're not selling anything back to the Ruskies. lol

Alaskan Yoter, do you remember the old Jd's BBQ joint in Wasilla ? They were some of my misplaced Okies family.

I recall a BBQ joint on KGB road but do not not recall another. Where was it located. We could use a real quality BBQ out this way. [Big Grin]

Hey we stay up here because President Muslim O'blowme has to come through Canada to get to us. [Razz]

At one time they were in Eagle River, Wasilla & Anchorage. They sold them in the 90's and i think that the only one now open is in Anchorage but owned by people i don't know. Don't feel bad about the lack of good BBQ cause it's almost impossible to find it here too.

Near as I can tell, it's hard to find in Texas, as well. I had some real authentic brisket in Del Rio a while back, but it's mostly Mex, these days. Which is okay, I love Mexican food, but when you want to pig out on Barbecue, and a stranger in town....good luck!

The only decent places in Okla are usually found in towns that have Martin luther king ave's. When i go to Tejas errrr Texas, i can usually find one thats still really good around Dallas. But it's almost a default mode to just eat mex food which is ok w/me too.

AZnative: Look for Les show on the Sportsman channel and not the outdoor channel.

Thanks TA. I did find it and now have it set up to record on the DVR.

Spoke with the wife and JD's BBQ was the one a couple of miles down the road from us. I think I ate there once, maybe.

IMO, if you've seen one tv 'show' you've seen them all. I like to watch videos much more than 'shows'. During a video I feel I'm being treated to some good action and not being treated like a consumer.

Predator Quest w/Les Johnson comes on tues at 10:30 am CST on ch395 (Dish).

Alaskan Yoter, that was his joint. He could only lease that blg. After "Black Thurs" in 95 or 96 a bunch of us took a bath in the stock market he lost his lease and closed. The owner turned it into a chinese resturant.
