Well my grandson got his first deer late Sunday afternoon. With the exception of the Arizona strip the deer population in this state are hurting. Here are some pics:

Four times during the hunt we had three Black Hawks flying by at a fairly high altitude. What was really cool is they flew by a fourth time really low while we were cleaning the deer. With the rush of the copters and killing a deer we were both really pumped up.

Here is a nice shot of a sunset over the Bradshaw mountains:

I had just as much fun helping grandson as I would have getting one myself.

That first buck is always cool. Glad he got one and it's bigger than my first muley.
The camo though does remind of someone though...

The first one only happens once. Hope he enjoyed it. Those choppers were buzzing around the valley on Saturday too.

AZ guy, I can sure relate to that experience. When my grandson, Jonathan, was with me on both his first coyote kill, and it worked out to be a big pair and I killed the male, he was the happiest kid I have ever seen. He was real frustrated before that but quickly developed into a real good hunter and caller after that success. Kudos to you and your grandson on a job well done.
