Good crop this season and its Mmmmm good! Got abunch bagged up and in the freezer and enough bags of ear corn to last for a week or two then will go get some of the late planted corn... Sweet peas, water melon and cucumbers finished up last week and was for good eating as well...

TA, you got something going there, for sure. The corn crops have been way off down here in Kaintucky. I do love all those goodies you mentioned. My youngest son, Eric, has grown a garden two straight years, which gave us all a big surprise, and this year's has really produced some good stuff, i.e. collard greens, sweet potatoes, green beans, cucumbers, summer squash, tomatoes, and some really great peppers of all kinds.

Damn! That corn looks good!
No garden for me this year, all by myself, why bother?

Your corn is beautiful. I remember picking and eating sweet peas off the vine. Like LB there is no way to eat all that grows and being retired I can't even share with co-workers. So, if you'd like to send some left over veggies to Tucson, I'll send you my address.

Man, I can't keep the rabbits out of my cactus garden; I'd hate to even try to keep them out of real eatin' stuff.

I have the same problem with my tortoises. They eat the hell out of my cactus.
Good hunting. El Bee
