By Jeff Poor

On his Thursday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin had a visceral reaction to the possibility reported early in the day of a Mitt Romney-Condoleezza Rice Republican ticket this November.

Although her name is mentioned as “near the top of the list” according to the Drudge Report, it would be a tactical mistake to select her, Levin said.

“This is bad politics,” Levin said. “Not only will Romney be defending Bain up through the election, now he’s going to have to be defending Bush and Bush’s policies right up through the election. This is a bad idea. No offense, Condi Rice. Didn’t they say throughout the Republican primary we had to nominate Romney because he’s the only one that could win? Why am I the only one who remembers that?”

Levin suggested that instead of putting up a problematic candidate like Rice, Romney should pick a conservative with experience.

“So here we are debating Bain Capital,” he said. “And then we’ll be debating Romneycare. And if he does pick Rice, then we’ll be debating the entire George W. Bush record, which is exactly what the Bush people want. Well, it’s not what I want. Pick a damn conservative who’s managed something. You’ve got a strong bench to choose from and stop playing it safe.”

And thus far, the Romney campaign has not impressed Levin, who said it was time to take aim at Obama instead of playing defense.

“So let’s get with it,” he said. “Can’t we win this damn race? Can’t we act like we actually want to? Can’t we be confident in our conservatism? Who cares what the media think or Obama’s team thinks? Pick a conservative, run as a conservative and ram this liberal clap-trap down their throats. And just hammer them every day.”

He added that Obama’s administration lends itself perfectly to an offensive strategy.

“I don’t want to sit here defending Bain Capital, defending Bush — I want offense, offense, offense,” he said. “And we got so much to use against this president and this administration. They’re so destructive. They’re so radical. There are so many morons in this administration.”

In the 04 debates Dick Cheney sealed the victory for Pres Bush by showing the audience how stupid Kerry & Edwards was concering the War on Terror. Cheney brought up the fact that they (Kerry/Edwards) were against the War On Terror, and openly said so . But when we the people showed support for the war on terror , they flip-flopped and supported the war because it was popular.
That pretty much sealed the deal.
Romney needs to get on the offensive, and remind the people WHAT A PISS POOR PRESIDENT WE HAVE, and vote him back into private life.

Romney definitely needs to get on the offense...........on the high road.
And he needs a strong V.P. & P.A.C.s that can roll in the mud.
This campaign is gonna get ugly & dirty. Romney needs to rise above it and `look presidential` while letting the underlings deal with the mud-slinging. His message should be strongly positive while the V.P. points out the vast failures of the obama years.

And I don't think that Rice has a damn thing to be ashamed of from her time on the Bush team.

I may not even vote. Romney is no better than Obama from what I can see. Both are sociailists on healthcare and 2A.

There is only one reason I would vote Romney and Ill let you guys guess that reason since the racial police are in action now.

Neither are worth a flyin fuck.

Andy, get a grip!

Romney might have some issues and policies, etc. But Obama? I would vote for a turd sandwich over Obama. If you don't vote and Obama wins, I'm not going to be very happy with you. Don't risk it! Come on, think about it. It's actually a clear choice. You need to cancel your buddy JohnHenry's vote. That's the least you can do.

Good hunting. Lima Bravo

While watching Cavuto a few mins ago, Mike Huckabee was talking about Condi Rice's lack of opinion on Romney's Pro Life requirement for his VP choice. He didn't say she (Rice)isn't Pro Life, but made the point to say she has avoided the issue .

LB, I havent missed a vote since I was 18. I hate Obama more than you can imagine on many, many levels. I also hate that damn Romney. Hes a RINO. A severe RINO. I guess I will hold my nose and vote for the SOB. Im hoping more that Sarah Steelman kicks the shit out of Claire McCaskill. Go from a rubber stamp for Obama in the Senate to a true conservative. And with Roy Blunt, that gives MO two good ones.

Whoever wins president, its more important, or just as, that we take the damn senate to stifle either one.

It seems to me that out of 300 millon or so in this country, we could come up with better than these assholes. Hell, if I run you reckon I could get any support? I promise to staighten some shit out worldwide.

Yeah, but just think about that idiot the Republicans nominated last time. McCain didn't run for President, he avoided it like he was going to catch a disease. Carter might be the all time second worst President in history, but he at least ran a campaign like he wanted to win. That fucking McCain did everything he could to lose, like he wanted Obama to win so he wouldn't be called a "RACIST". Most inept presidential campaign in the history of the Republic. And, I blame that idiot for letting Obama become President!

Good hunting. LB

Andy, Andy, Andy I though that you were smarter than that. I don't like Romney, but he is a REAL American citizen who wants America to survive. Think about THAT for a second. Obama needs America to FAIL. Hell, that is why the Muslim leaders sent him here in the first place ain't it?

Rich, I fully understand that part. But just pointing out the truth, there is not a nickles difference in their past records on Socialist meds and 2A. Both are worthless pieces of shit. Its like tryin to figger out which turd looks more potable. Ill vote Romney and choke that turd.

I cannot understand why a decent person cant get a toehold in this country full of ignorant motherfuckers who just want to see whats in it for me. Kinda like TA. All the sudden hes a Obama fan when he learns hes gonna go a few more trillion in debt but TA will have a job. Fuck the country, yay for me. Thats everyones attitude.

One day, if were going to save this country, if it can be saved, were going to have to make some hard choices. If not, our kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids are screwed. We are spiraling out of control, yet the masses cant see it. Or they would vote in someone with common sense.

Back to the original topic. There still isnt much difference between Osama and romney. Point it out to me if you can find it. Other than one likes multiple wives, god I cant figger that one out, jesus christ, and the other is a fuckin n****r. Only difference I see.

Just a few questions.

There have been four bridges replaced near here. Only one was bad, Jason will see this and agree on that. Of course it created some jobs. But at what cost? The others might not have been pretty, but not dangerous. What cost to the country? Was it really worth it for a few temp jobs?

Whos going to pay for this? We arent. Will our kids? I dont think they can. Most have been raised with the fuck you, yay for me attitude that got us in this mess.

We have to get back to manufacturing and raising crops and not farming the government and be exporters, not a nation of consumers, but a nation of producers and exporters, not importers, like what made this country great.

My son, is leaving next week for welding school. Im proud he chose that over college. We have to have people with trades to overcome this position were in. You only need so many with a bachelors in Business. Thats what 90% do and wonder why they cant get a job.

We all need to stop and think about the days this country was great and strong. See what was going one then and head that direction. If not, China and other countries will own us, more than now, totally.

Andy,
You are right about almost everything regarding our choice for President. The problem is that you are missing the most important difference between Romney and Obama. Let me say this just one more time. Romney is actually a natural born Citizen, and Obama is likely not a citizen at all. Romney is a Christian, while Obama is a Muslim. Romney knows that when the U.S.A. collapses, he goes down just the same as us poor people. Romney will do everything in his power to save the U.S.A. while Obama is just one election away from completely destroying this country. Obama gets re-elected, the U.S.A. is history. I am not worried about myself, but I have children, Grand children, and Great Grand children that I worry very much about.

I am not a Romney fan by any means, similar to Bob Dole, Bush 41, 43, or the cheesedick McCain.

One of my major concerns is the possibility of Supreme court nominations. No way in hell do I want more Ginsbergs, Sotomeyer, Kagen, or even Bush appointed Sutters!

I hope Romney doesn't sell us out like the others did.

I am so sick of these ignorant bastards. When I think of all the millions of veterans that gave arms, legs, or even everything "their lives" for this country because they love it, and these pieces of shit that won't do the right thing because they may loose their jobs, well it makes me furious.

Whoa! This better get your attention, Andy! And, Ginsberg, she looks one hundred years old, has cancer and might be around another 30 years. Those last two were criminal mistakes. How the Republicans in the Senate layed down and allowed Sotomeyer and especially KAGEN to be confirmed is mind boggling. The Democrats fight every Republican nomination like their life depended on it and the Republicans conduct themselves as friggin' Gentlemen, and get the shaft. Or, to be more accurate, we get the shaft.

We cannot allow Obama a single additional Supreme Court pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andrew;........Sit down & listen.
What DanS posted is not only true, but extremely important. If obama gets four more years & he can put a couple of more liberal judges on the Supreme Court, the country will be fuked long after obama has gone home to Kenya. The court just recently upheld part of obama-care. A more liberal court would uphold all of it. A liberal court would uphold the U.N. gun ban treaty that Hillary is getting ready to sign. An obama court would have a LIFETIME APPOINTMENT. The decisions that they make would follow this country right to it's demise.
Now take your meds, get your blood pressure back down before you vapor lock on us and relax. Romney's not my first choice either but the alternative this Nov. is just to terrible to contemplate.

ANDY! Listen up! Read this, initial and return:

quote:

I have never been all that enamored with Romney, but we have to get on board as if our life depended on it. Like was said recently, by this time next year we might be either dead or in prison.

And, I can't believe how seriously the Secret Service takes all loose talk. They know they are charged with protecting an asshole that people hate more than any President in history. He's actually dangerous to the health of the Republic. Not me, I'm much too chicken but like (who said it, Jefferson?) The tree of liberty must be refreshed, from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots.

I mean really. I think it would be a mistake for somebody to kill the bastard. One Martin Luther King Holiday a year is enough, and that's what would happen. The asshole would go from worst president in history to God, IF some deranged & misguided idiot were to take him out.

And, we do have to be careful with words. But, would I shed a tear? Not a chance.

Good hunting. El Bee

Andy, tell your son to work hard at the 6g tig, especially the stainless and the mag steel. Tell him to resist the speel that 798 gives him. He'll make more as a non union. If he gets a chance to do some work with any cnc machining, tell him to take it, even if the starting pay is poor.Pipeline welders are dinosaurs waiting on the last big freeze.

P.S. is he going to Reimer?

It seems to me, the steady work for TIG, (tungston, inert gas) is in dairies and other types of food processing plants. Make no mistake, purge welding 308L and 316 tubing is always in demand. That's what I would tell a guy just starting out.

Andy good luck to your son heading to welding school. I did the same thing right out of high school and it has been a trade that has always kept me employed.

I work with young people fairly often now and very few want to be plumbers, electricians, machinists, etc. Pay is good and in some cases great in the trades. There is a demand for the person who has an actual skill versus the person with a degree that is essentially an expensive piece of paper.

Ok, quit beatin up on me. I already said I aint missed a vote since I was 18 and I would swallow this turd as well.

Thanks for the heads up Geordie, LB and Lonnie. Geordie, hes going MWI in Nevada MO. Todd Spangler, one of the teachers or owners or whatever, told me to keep him out of union hands, lots better money to be made. Ill pass along the rest.

They have lifetime brushup testing and lifetime placement. I have a friend whos son graduates next week. He picked three jobs to test for as soon as hes done. Straight to work, big bucks too. Im tickled shitless hes doin this rather than gettin a 4 yr degree and lookin for work.

Andy;
It's quite possible that in four years that your son could have someone with a degree working for him as a go-fer.
At one time when the Aerospace Industry had a glut of engineers during a downturn, we had several rocket scientists working in the factory as General Labors..........and glad to have the job.

I think our union pipefitters are making about $33-35 an hour, plus medical and dental. Their retirement is damn good too.

Koko, back in '85, a friend of mine graduated with his BS from Univercity of Missouri, Rolla, which is a know engineering school. He was a ME, but stayed working as a laborer, 'cause he was making more money in that field than a kid right out of college. He eventually got a good paying job as an Mech engineer, probably makes a whole bunch of money now.
