You know, I have nothing against Unions, but.

In the case of Public Employee Unions, I am deeply troubled. The reason is, the unions and democrat one/two punch is very difficult for the elected officials and governor of any state to resist.

THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THAT THEY ARE GIVING IN AND GIVING AWAY PUBLIC MONEY AND THEY DON'T CARE. ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS RAISE TAXES TO COVER THE DEFICIT AND ALL IS HUNKY DORY.

This is completely different than private corporations, who have to figure out how to cover union gains.

Therefore, I am against public employees and their arm twisting (of) officials who CAN'T SAY NO.

We will see, shortly, who will prevail. Should be interesting.

Right on and the person who has to pay for the Union demands isn't given a seat at the bargaining table. I'm not just talking about tax payers but also include our children that are not educated because the dipshit teacher unions protect the worse of the worse. A male teacher has to screw a female student or a a female teacher seduce a male student to get fired. Homosexual teacher/student affairs are allowed since queers are an endangered species.

At 9:02 pm, CDT, an hour after pools closed, it's 60/40, Walker. This needs to be a decisive win for Walker. Not anywhere near "too close to call".

At 9:15, CNN is calling the race with Walker winning.

I agree with you. Bruce and I were both members of a union when we lived in Tacoma and walked a picket line back in the 80s. I was extremely grateful for his health insurance when he was going through chemo. However, the unions have become way to powerful and demanding. And, with all the affirmative action, etc. are they really necessary?

I was really happy to hear on Fox & Friends this morning that Scott Walker not only won the recall but with a higher percentage than when he was elected in 2010.

Question;
Is there opportunity here for Team Romney or perhaps talk radio to make an issue of how our gutless wonder president ducked the fight in Wis. because a loss might make him look bad????

Yes, it's a quid pro quo situation: you give me money for my reelection and I will give you a healthy raise, and generous benefits......whether the state can afford it or not. How in the hell is that ethical? At some point, it has to stop.

They say; help the schools. Then, all the money goes for teacher's pay and benefits and damned little for the children. The politicians are buying votes, plain and simple. It's shameful.

Is it possible? We might have come to our senses? This cannot go on, it's unsustainable. There are only so many working people and so many millionaires. We can't expect Dan, (the man) to pay our fair share just because he can afford it more than the rest of us.

And what the Hell is `fair` about punishing the successful more than the rest of the population???? All I ever hear is the Left babbling about `fair`............by their definition. [Mad]

Limbaugh did a commentary once on Tax The Poor. It was satire, but it made a lot of good points. Basically, it was the more you earn, the greater good that you do for society, therefore, the LESS you should pay in taxes. The poor, on the other hand, earn less, are more of a burden on society, and should pay MORE taxes. Sounds pretty FAIR to me.

koko, arguments like yours can make a Liberal's head explode.

Would you want that on your conscience? Besides that, they don't understand logic, they think you must be a lying sack of shit just like them.

This is universal truth: Liberals have a mental illness.

"Is it possible? We might have come to our senses?"

I honestly believe a LOT of people have or are coming to their senses. The electorate today is far more educated than it has been in the past and the bullshit thread bare talking points being spewed by politicos is falling on dead ears. Unfortunately, you cannot turn a battleship on a dime. In this case, the lead time to change is four years and hope for a second term. The lead time, being an election cycle.

Fact is, things are so F'd up anymore that there's simply no way to tax or legislate ourselves out of the hole we're in. I have often posed the question to people that when you see and study what Obama is doing, you're left to conclude that he is every bit as stupid as we think he is, or he's willfully and deliberately trying to destroy this country. Which is it?

Here, midway through the fourth quarter, everything he touches turns to shit, yet he only redoubles his efforts. I am firmly convinced that he knows he'll lose in November and, quite possibly, doesn't even want the job. In either event, it looks to me like his recent efforts have been with the intent of effectively scuttling the ship. "I can't fix it and I'll be goddamned if I'm going to leave it afloat so some Republican can come along and save the day."

`............make a liberal's head explode`

So ............... what's the downside to THAT???? [Big Grin]

CDude; Don't kid yourself........obama's addicted to the power. He will do ANYTHING to keep that power. We haven't even begun to see the lies that are comming between now and Nov.

i agrree with Cdog. i also believe he really does not want (or at least care) if he's re-elected.
he made history by being the first black elected and that stroked his ego enough.

bearhunter, I dunno? I don't think Moochelle is ready to give up all the free vacations, date nights and party's we have to pay for.

as much as I'd like to think Obama doesn't care if he's re-elected, I gotta beleive also that he, like most other lifers in the political field, love the power and don't want to give it up, no matter how bad "things" seem.

In the next five months, I predict that I will change channels on the TV approximately 10795 times, just so I don't have to listen to some political add featureing Obama's mug..

The muslim in chief won't give up his power easily. After all, look what he has done to obtain it. Besides, moochelle still has more trips to take on the taxpayers dollars. Like she says "we movin' on up to the east side....."

Well, interesting theory, BUT. This SOB, (Barry Obama) will never give up power, voluntarily. In the first place, he thinks he has been anointed and crowned Dear Supreme Leader for life, kinda like Saddam and Hitler, like Stalin and Vlad The Impaler. And, the SOB has set the economy back years, trying to spend us out of the recession. At least Hitler improved Germany's economy, put people back to work. Name something that this SOB has done that has helped the country? Everything he has done has been detrimental, period.

OK..................Everything's OK!!!
obama held a press conference and announced that the `The economy's doing fine`. He also mentioned that we need to hire more government workers.
Mind you, he was back-pedaling big time a couple of hours later. Haven't heard Romney's comments yet & I think that Herman Cain's being treated for shock.
[Eek!]

How did this dip-stick ever win in the first place????? [Confused]

Oh yeah, now I remember; He wasn't Hillary. [Roll Eyes]
