If your Dr. has told you to eat more fruit, here ya go................... [Cool]

I may have posted this once before, but what the heck........it's a Holiday week-end.

Get some peaches. Fresh is good but canned will work. Half & pit the fresh ones.
Take a one gal, Zip-Loc bag & dump in a jar of honey.
Add some ground clove, or nutmeg or allspice. Squish it around from the outside of the bag to mix.
Add the peach halves & squish around some more.
Remove the halves with tongs & BBQ for a couple of minutes on each side.
Put the BBQed peach halves in bowls; one per each.
Fill the spot where the pit was with a decent strawberry preserve.
Add a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream in the bowl next to the peach half. That Haagen Das stuff is pretty good.
Drizzle some of the left-over honey onto the peaches & ice cream.
Enjoy. [Smile]

Dang Koko, when you started this thread, I thought you were describing that drink they used to mix up on the various houseboats on the Ky. River. You mixed certain fruits and all the clear liquors in a big jar, added ice, and wrapped it in a big towel, twisted the ends, and rocked it until it made a frozen delight that would knock your socks off.

Sounds "dee-lish". Good to see someone else here. Thought everyone had died but me.

Leonard,
I am so relieved that your are still alive. I was beginning to think maybe one of those female women of the opposite sex finally gave you a heart attack or something.

Leonard, I am especially glad to hear that. All of the doctors say a healthy sex life is great for you.

I heard;
That a gal recently asked El Bee if he would still respect her in the morning. He (supposedly) replied that at his age he probably wouldn't even REMEMBER her in the morning. [Big Grin]

And on that note, lets take a minute or two and at least remember what this Holiday's all about.

I'm eating banana chips, raisins and peanuts and washing it down with Arizona Diet Green Tea. I'm going to see how long I'll live eating this combo.

Two of the first three will come out the other end looking pretty much like they did going in, and what the hell, pray tell, do they take OUT of green tea to make it "diet"?

You'll be dead inside three days.

And why do so many people actually BELIEVE that GREEN tea is actually better than plain old Sun Tea from plain old Tea Leaves?

Good question, Rich. I've tried it several times and can't say it's all that good. Sun tea, or for that matter, plain old instant tea, is good enough for me. Now, sweet tea? OMG, hate the stuff. Tea and coffee should taste like tea and coffee. Sweet tea is like adding sugar to beer. Blech!!!

I thought it was just me? Every brand of green tea I have tried is way too sweet for me.

Good hunting. LB

edit: raspberry ice tea in a restaurant, same thing! Much, much too sweet!

To make the tea 'diet' they don't put as much honey in it. Zero calories per serving as opposed to 70. I'll take it.
Yep, the non diet stuff is too sweet.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT meander around the nieghborhood comsuming that mixture. Do not consume that mixture wearing a hoody, even inside your own domocile.
