Watch The Video “BEFORE” You Read the Story ~~ Pay Attention!
A Police Video from Chicago
Watch the video first... Two or three times ...Then read the text below...
Remember the cops had to act in real time.
THE SUSPECT DOES GET SHOT BY A POLICE OFFICER. THIS IS FOR REAL.
Watch the video and what do you see? An officer ordering the suspect to put the assault rifle down, and it appears he is complying and then he is shot!
Is that what you see? Want to know what it is like to work the streets, and what risks you face daily?
Watch the video again... Watch the suspect's right hand while he places the rifle down with his left hand.
What you don't see, but the officer behind the suspect does see, is the suspect pulling a hidden handgun from his rear pants, with his right hand.
Watch as the bad guy goes down..... the handgun is still in his right hand.
Just a reminder... What you think you see at first does not always tell the truth.
It's time Mr. Citizen (and THE PRESS!!) ... has a better understanding of why this guy REALLY got shot; not to mention the Cops laying their lives on the line!!!

Walking down the street with two guns, yes the guy proably deserved to get shot..
Now the vid.
Ok the cop yells put the gun down while another cop is approaching from behind and the bad guy is in plain view of both. The bad guy has baggy pants with the cuffs to the ground so he was'nt pulling a handgun from there. So it appears he had it in his hand the whole time and by looking at the vid. when the cop said put the gun down he was doing so, there was no movement forward with right hand to attempt to fire the handgun..
So I would say the bad guy was complying to what he was ordered to do and in the mean time the cop in the rear fires off two shots shooting him in the back.. ( The cop to the rear looks alot like Ken by the way)
Maybe this is why some of the bad guys would rather have a shoot out with the cops figureing or knowing they are going to get shot at either way..

I zoomed and clicked frame by frame and it looked like he did pull the handgun as he was putting the other down, lucky for the cop in front that the cop behind was there.

Is this a real shooting or a acted out one for training??
Looks fake as hell to me. Who lets a guy with a camera walk around behind them with an armed man cornered? Why do they immediately walk up to the guy like its all clear RIGHT after the shot. The guy in front is holstering his gun as he walks up to the suspect...

It sure looks real to me. I could see the cop behind the perp hand recoiling. Something you don't see in the movies. The camera man was too close to being a back stop IMHO. I'm going to leave the rest of my opinions to myself for now.

Unfortunately, when the wrongful death lawsuit of the innocent young man on his way to choir practice goes to court, the lawyers for the plaintiff will likely point out that the gentleman was complying with police orders and was putting both of his guns down without pointing either of them at the jack-booted officers when he was shot in the back by the racist cops wearing body armor yada yada yada.
There are times when it must really suck to be a cop.

I was keeping the gun behind his back to myself, and letting members pick up on that themselves. It is hard to see unless you stop start the movie. And Koko, you are correct in your prediction of a wrongful death lawsuit. The thugs mom has a least a dozen messages on her voicemail from Liaryers.

It's obvious he had another gun he was pulling as he was laying down the rifle, that's what we were supposed to notice and comment on correct, good police work, crazy stuff happens, it's a tuff job and all that.
Now can we comment on the origin of the video and it's purpose and what actually happened or do we wait for the punch line from the sender of the video?

Bill Siegmund is who sent me the video. He is a former member of the San Gabriel Varmint Callers and I have known him since 1968. There was no other addresses in the chain. He is pretty well connected, politically, but that is all I know of the origin of the video?

It appears to me that either this is a fake or a training video or these two cops shoot people on a daily basis, who's shooting video and right after confronting, yelling at and shooting a man with an assault rifle and handgun on the street you wouldn't holster your weapon and casually walk up to the turd while he was still holding a gun as if you were buddies with him. Very strange behavior for a cop.

If the turd is acting, he sure falls down good.
But I agree, there is something a bit too casual about the way the near cop walks up? Or, are we over analyzing it?
I agree with whoever pointed out that the camera man was sure lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

Yes, the consensus over on coptalk is also that it's a training video. It had a few people fooled though.
Pretty realistic for a training vid. I figured either it was staged, or the guy in front is one ice cold, cool customer.

He WAS cool but when he holstered his pistola I knew something was wrong. BUT the point is well taken, sometimes things on a video can fool you or be different from what you think you see.

I saw a training video recently of a small department. During the exercise the trainee had to walk up on an unresponsive driver in a car his head resting on the steering wheel. The trainee is surprised by a shooter from the sidewalk area, trainee presents and fires, JAM!!!
Trainee says "stop, stop, my gun jammed" Training Supervisor says, no way! IT IS REAL REACT!! PROCEED! Trainee clears his action, turns quickly and puts 5 into the Training Super (paint balls)!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is now looking for a new place to train!! LOL
