A year and a half ago, the Air Force Band did a summer concert in the park less than a mile down the road at Magnolia Park, right here in Upland. They were surprisingly good, although I couldn't pick any of them out of a lineup. I was very impressed, I expected a military brass band, but they were very current and the crowd, on lawn chairs and blankets was very appreciative. They put on a good show.
