The law states that if you're INVOLVED in a crime such as first degree robbery and a death happens as a result of the event that YOU are subject to prosecution for it. The accomplice will be charged with the death of his partner, death would be easy compared to spending his life living with his new boyfriends.

Not sure, but if you were given the choice of instant death or spending 50yrs taking it up the beanhole at shower time, which would you choose? I say killing that POS would be the easy way out for him, now he can tell all his new boyfriends how tough of a criminal he is after an 18 year old girl kilt his partner and made him run and hide like the little puss he is. Should be an enlightening experience for him.

I'm a little annoyed by the 911 operator who just couldn't tell the girl to put the hammer down to save her, and her baby's life. "Do what you need to do" seems a bit lame, to me? It could have caused this woman the moment's hesitation the attacker needed.
She didn't need advice that was somewhat ambiguous, she needed assurances.
Well, it turned out okay, but what the hell! Why couldn't 911 spit it out; kill the SOB when he comes through that door!
Our PC society. <sigh>
Good hunting. LB

It took them 20 minutes to get the door open......these guys must've been juiced on something, anybody in there right mind could get into a trailer house in less than 30 seconds, even with a deadbolt, she must live a long ways from the cop shop considering the nature of the call and the response time.

I'll just say this: I don't have a problem with anyone shooting "fucking turd" who deserves it. I would happily do it myself under the right circumstances, so this guy most likely got what he deserved.
That said (and I know nothing more than what's been published), something smells fishy on this one. She says she thought/knew the dude had been stalking her? He may have been after her deceased husbands Oxycontin? 20 minutes to break in? Re-inactment for the news?
I've been wrong before....

Yeah, now that you mention it, I sorta squinted a bit , WTF? when I read that part about twenty minutes of breaking in.
That's what I like about our news media. You just can't believe them anymore.
Good hunting. LB
PS, like waiting for the results of the Iowa Caucasus, they were saying somebody was driving down with the last votes, in a pickup truck. A couple hours later, uhh, there weren't no pickup truck. My question is, who started that rumor broadcast across the country, and accepted as fact?

Bringing the last of the votes in with a pick-up in Iowa is just silly. They would have driven a combine. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I think it was an article on fox that said it took 20 min, I could be wrong. Jim, I had the same thought although at first glance she seems fairly coherent and doesn't appear to have meth mouth or any other obvious signs of the "turd" lifestyle. In a case where someone was killed wouldn't LE check out ALL these angles thoroughly. Considering who was shot, maybe not?

After the whole Casey Anthony mess, I doubt that thete's a D.A. in the country that would go after a helpless young girl who was frightened and protected her baby, no matter what the other circumstances may or may not be.

The reenactment was no doubt strange.

It was strange alright! Even a little uncomfortable considering she had just killed a man in her living room.

Yes, now that you mention it.
Reenactment for the benefit of the news people; that strikes me as pretty bizarre. She was calm as a cucumber, aiming and demonstrating how she done it. Then the parroting of what the 911 operator told her, seemed a little bit staged, as it was (in fact) staged. But, her going along with it is the weird part. Personally, I think I would be shaking like a leaf on a tree. Ah huh, I'm all shook up!
Thank you/thank you very much!

Yep it's strange. Even how now after the fact, she figured out he was "stalking" her, her dead husband was 48 and she 21(?) or so... Now they are looking for his cell phone which has come up missing.
Wonder who he's been talking to?

Went by me? What cop lingo? Did you get knowed up on cop lingo from your buddy Ken? I don't know anybody anymore, since my sister divorced. That was useful for his point of view, but he couldn't keep his dick in his pants, pretty much like the rest of them.

Leonard, Jim quoted me by referring to the guy that broke into the girl's house and was subsequently killed as a "fucking turd," which he no doubt was. I agree with you guys, there is more to this story. Yep, I caught it Jim.
I'm sorry about your sister's divorce. Many, many cops have trouble keeping their male anatomy where it should be. The thought of this drove my wife crazy the first couple of years of our marriage. Someone told her cops were unfaithful, and it was on her mind. She trusts me now, but it took years for her to get over it. Funny thing, we hear just about as many infidelity stories coming from our neighborhood, but you know, cops have that stigma. [ January 07, 2012, 06:26 AM: Message edited by: 4949shooter ]

4949: It is the macho testosterone fed image that cops project that creates the unfaithful image. I don't know if it is deserved or not, and I doubt there has ever been a study to see if it is true or nor.
I have a cousin that use to live in Escondido, Ca. who shot and wounded an intruder. She purposely shot low and hit the guy in the leg. For the first hour or so she was treated like a suspect. After a period of time they came to realize she was just an innocent burglary victim and started to joke with her about needing to shoot higher. She later attended a class taught by a local sheriff about personal protection. He actually told those in the class to start packing heat because they have never prosecuted a clean person for CCW. They simply take the weapon away. My cousin and her family now live in Idaho. Her husband fears the wrath that may befall California when the shit hits that fan.

Could be, AZ, along with the fact that cops are always in the eye of the public.

My wife worked in a supermarket for ten years and as such was a member of the Retail Clerk's Union, which I think is now called the United Food and Culinary Workers Union?
Now to the point. It has been said that cops project an unfaithful image, deserved or not.
I think it is deserved based on the divorce statistics. My wife knew all the people at the various stores, as well as actually working for the union health insurance, since they were self insured.
Anyway, she said that everybody knew the names of the best divorce lawyers and that there was statistical evidence that grocery store people were the second highest in incidence of divorce. Firmly in first place: Law Enforcement, no contest. It seems that some couples used to argue over who retained certain lawyers with the best reputation for getting favorable terms for their clients.
