I read about it before, the bare facts and it appeared to be the usual "laws don't apply to me" situation.
Very interesting that at the end, it was pointed out that this guy is a serial abuser.
And, what the hell is this? Charged as a misdemeanor? I believe, in CA anybody driving at those speeds would warrant a felony charge? Not sure?
I'd fire the asshole.

WOW, is all I can say at first glance. Ticket wars between those agencies are on the horizon at least for awhile.
Hope their bosses put a stop to it before it get's going. Those wars have been ugly in the past.
What the average Joe can learn from glock talk is many of those opinions are coming from cops. You can see how they vary greatly like anything else.
The second I saw the other unit come into dash cam view I thought to myself "I wonder what they have going on"? I have asked that question myself many times.
If I was that trooper I might have asked dispatch if Miami PD had anything going on. It happens often where something big is happening in another jurisdiction and you are missing the action.
I have always been a hard ass when it comes to ticket writing, but not in my wildest dreams have I ever thought of stopping another agency under these circumstances.
Yes the cruiser being stolen comes to mind, but once it was determined it was a uniform cop driving it, everything else would have stopped right there.
Many other ways to have handled that situation without the spectacle that took place in the end.
NO excuse for driving at such speeds. If that unit crashes someone is going to die, no question about that.
Having been there done that more than once even cleaning up the mess after a cruiser crashes is difficult.

By the way.......if the coppers would listen to the last 5 seconds of the video, it SHOULD put this situation into perspective.....this wasnt the first time they tried to catch this criminal turd. Poor guy was late but they just don't understand.

JD do keep in mind the peer pressure this trooper is going to be under for doing what she did, WELL it might get real ugly for her.
Action could have been taken and still get the issue handled with less stress for the trooper. It appears she had had enough of this on going issue and did what she thought was best.
If you got kids in school, well then you can understand the pressure they face for much simpler day to day issues.
We will never know what is going on behind the scenes on this issue unless someone from FHP comes forward and speaks up.
If the trooper later files a retaliation lawsuit against Miami or FHP we will never really know what the collateral damage is going to be.
You might have noticed even in glock talk the after effects aren't really being talked about. That tells a story itself.
Myself I am more concerned about that than what the cop did at the moment.
What I am saying JD is there is a unwritten list of things even honest cops can't do without suffering some consequences from within.
Now I have been searching for that written list for 30 years and haven't found it.
I can tell you that this incident would be on the unwritten list of things NOT to do. The rank and file will split right down the middle on you.

I might take a minute here to address a few other things I read, over there. A couple members said they were clued in to friction between me and others. This was due to swallowing one sided explanations, and they were one sided because I have not discussed any personal problems between me and anybody else, not Higgins and not NASA either. I do not feel the need to enlist others and trash people that I have a problem with, whereas NASA will tell you all about things he doesn't know a damned thing about, nor does Clever Gary know anybody who has hunted with me on the reservation, or elsewhere. I spent 40 years hunting with two partners and nobody in Riverside or Orange County knows either of them and both of these hotshots are talking through their ass. Total lies; like me manipulating check in locations because I knew Danny was having a good hunt. Total fabrication. Unbelievable. Never mind that I have known Danny since we were teenagers and would never sabotage a hunt for him or anyone else. Nobody that was ever on one of those state hunts could verify that crap. That's some especially evil lies and you have to wonder the motivation of grown men, acting like jealous girls. That shit never happened, period. It is not even a matter of twisting something or some events, it is totally made up, AND WHY IN THE HELL WOULD ANY NORMAL PERSON ENGAGE IN SUCH DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR?

edit: Ken got the last word via a whinning email informing me that I'm not a nice man, and bla bla bla. I'm sure he will waste no time in assembling the peanut gallery on another board and I subsequently won't have any excuse to continue to breath air on this planet because of the shabby way he, Higgins and Dan have been treated on Huntmasters. By their opinion. To me, I was completely justified.

I would just like to explain why back stabbing pricks bother me so much. Because I have stated many times, I consider every member a friend. When someone makes it clear to me that he is not a friend and behaves like an enemy, using my hospitality, I find these actions extremely offensive. I do not have any obligation to host these people that attack me, here and there, and why the hell should I? And, why are they surprised when I observe that their behavior is hostile, and I don't welcome their participation any more? What obligation do I have to endure pure hate in exercise of their free speech privileges. I do not believe I have done anything to cause this hate just because I run an open forum, dedicated to all points of view. Some people can't handle that responsibility or the concept of hospitality.
Believe me, there is very little reward in providing this forum, other than cultivating friendships. I already have more than enough enemies. Please. Do not come in here after trashing me on other sites. I find it extremely offensive. If you shot your mouth off other places, don't come back here like nothing happened and expect me to ignore those things you said behind my back.
