For the last several years a company called "The Freedom Group" has been buying up American gun and ammunition manufacturers. http://www.freedom-group.com/
Some of these companies are:
Bushmaster,
Marlin,
Remington,
DPMS,
Dakota Arms and
H&R.
DPMS Panther Arms
NEF
Dakota Arms
LC Smith
Parker
AAC
Barnes Bullets
EOTAC
INTC
Some people worry that is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. Of course, If you control the manufacturers you can decide not to sell to civilians, or, you can raise the prices to ridiculous levels or you can make the supply of guns and ammo scarce - all sorts of logjams.
What a perfect way to control America's guns!
If you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a Wall Street investment company called "Cerberus Capital Management".
"Cerberus" in the epic book "The Inferno" by Dante Alighieri, is a three-headed demon hound (from Roman mythology) that guards the Gates of Hell to prevent those damned souls who have just crossed the river Styx, from escaping back to the world.
Investor GEORGE SOROS owns Cerberus!
http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2009/10/cerberus-plans-ipo-for-freedom-group-companies-remington-bushmaster-marlin-dpms/
Here's a comment from this web site: Cerberus is big enough to make waves in Washington. Money talks in politics and Cerberus has lots of it.”
Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out - and quickly! Why have we not heard about this in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG news.
The absence of big media coverage on this important subject should be BIG news to you, too!

Leonard, my famous predecessor, Pogo Possum, declared for all to hear, "I have met the enemy, and he is me" and on another occasion, "We have met the enemy, and we is us". Somebody mistakenly tried to give credit for that statement to Winston Churchill or some other famous person, but Pogo did it.

So, what are your thoughts on Soros' motivations? Buy up the majority of the market and once you have control, shut down guns and ammo in the U.S., or is he enabling progress toward the timely collapse and upheaval of the U.S. so that he can profit heavily as he has in scuttling other currencies and countries around the world? Get guns in as many hands as he can top ensuire that when the SHTF, it hits it good. Soros has been known for some time for styrirring the turds so that currencies collapse after he positions himself to make millions off the collapse. Arming the civilian populace is a good way to make sure that all hell breaks loose rather than a pathetic little flash in the pan that amounts to nothing before dying an unnotable death.

As far as I am concerned, Soros is a self absorbed psychopath and the world will be more better when he is gone. If I had to pick, I would think he intends to restrict access to firearms? Somehow?

The link says cerebus SPa? is goingfor an ipo which means they might be giving up a majority share. Even if they maintain a majority share they have fiduciary duty to maximize profits for thestock holder. I am glad spell checker is gone. Please excuse the poor typing. I am
practicing on a droid.

Partially true........mostly bullshit when taken in the context it was presented.
Sorros is in no way involved with freedom group.
Freedom group is a huge company....check them out here
Freedom group
Snopes says FALSE.

I sure wish I understood the rationale behind completely false information all over the web? Deliberate dishonesty. As far as snopes, they have been caught slanting, usually to the left, so I don't use them to verify any authenticity issues. Again, what's the reason for baldfaced lies? It's everywhere. Network TV doesn't think twice about presenting stories with (usually) a left leaning agenda.
If this original article above, received via email, is an attempt to smear Soros from a right wing perspective, I guess honesty is a commodity in short supply no matter what the media? I got that item from a usually reliable source. <sigh>

edit: yeah, I couldn't sleep; too much pain.

Leonard, if you want to get some facts about George Soros, read his contributions to the Financial Times, concerning many world problems such as the collapse of the Euro. Like him or hate him, he is one sharp cookie and makes more sense in a lot of these areas than the typical talking heads.

Cerberus is a capital management group that is supposed privately held. They do own many companies.. Including some who received government bailout . I think the mythology is cerebus and not the same.
