I've been able to get out for two mornings recently and do some calling. Still kinda early for me, so I've left the rifle home and just carried my camera. Got a few halfway decent pics, figured some of you might enjoy them. So, here they are...
This first batch is five different coyotes I called in the first morning.

Dave:
You got some great pics of these coyotes. I like the coyote in the second series, the second pic of the coyote in the branches is a pic with a lot of sharpness. Zoom lenses sure help bring the image in close.
These coyotes didn't seemed spooked at all. I presume a fair share of these were uneducated pups?

Awesome photographs, Dave! Thanks for sharing. The last pic of the first bunch is a great portrait.
Now, on the second group; were you misting, or what? Gotta be some sort of story, if not?

Leonard, pretty simple, really - had a perfect breeze in my favor and excellent concealment in a Rancho Shaggy. That coyote simply couldn't see what I was or smell me. It could see my big black camera in front of my face and could hear the shutter clicking. But that didn't really spook it. My guess is that the camera might have looked and sounded something like a bird? I set it down and walked away to look back at it and it had that impression. A couple times when the coyote started to leave, I got it to come back by flapping my bare white hands so it could see them. That's when it got the closest.
Zooming in on that yawn picture to look at the teeth, I don't believe that is a pup either. I think I can see some wear and plaque. Actually, I think all of these were old ones. But, didn't get to carry any of them back to the truck for inspection, so can't really say for sure.
Several of them I was able to call back multiple times after they started to leave though. Seems like if they can't really identify what I am by smell or sight, they don't really get too spooked. That one in the second series, I kept out in front of me for 19 minutes.
A couple of them DID get my breeze and they didn't hang around or come back after that.

Wow, stunning pics Dave. While I don't photo called coyotes, I can sure appreciate the difficulty. Thanks for sharing.

Great pics Dave. You and I both know it was that Cigar cover scent you applied driving out that did the trick.

Dave, that is about as good as it gets. I loved that one photo where you could clearly see a little piece of grass or something right between his eyes, a great aiming point if you were shooting something besides a camera. I agree with Koko that you have the makings of a great calendar there. I'd buy one or I should say I'd be interested in buying one if Leonard would loan me enough $$$$$. (LOL+++++)
Good looking coyotes and then don't look like pups to me either. Maybe the one up on the ridge was a younger one, but the others looked like grownups who no longer have a family.

Jim, called them all in with the same old jackrabbit that I always use. But to get them to come back, I switched sounds up, mostly pup distress, but some cottontail, some voice howls and some lip squeaks too.

Seems like that train is never late, even the "standard version" that I use. To my ear, one the most authentic sounds out there. The volume fluctuations and gurgling inhales really make it shine.
