Its getting too dam hot here to go fishing but went anyway.. I found most of the fish hanging out in one of the deep pools that I dug with the excavator.. Bullheads were biteing as well as the sunnies and Bass.. I decided to skip on keeping the bullheads as they don't fair so well when the water temps get this warm so I went after sunnies and Bass. Most of the bass ranged around 2-4 pounds and the sunnies were good in size.. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/TA17Rem/012-1.jpg[/IMG]] [ July 31, 2011, 08:58 PM: Message edited by: TA17Rem ]

The last time I went fishing must have been back in 2004. I still have my poles but not any gear. I have been getting the urge to get out and do some fishing. I used to fish the heck out of the Colorado river in and a round Bullhead City Arizona. I would fish off bottom most of the time with a carolina rig or a with a 3 way swivel just to get the bait off the bottom abit. I would use anchovies the nastiest bait none to man. I would tie my bite on with some thread. Also I would carry a bottle of Lemon Joy just to try and wash my hands so I could stand my self. Those sun fish look like they would be good for eating. But in Oklahoma I would use the small ones for fish bait. I would use crawdads or sun fish on my taught line. I would catch blue cats, channel cats, flat heads and even a drum from time to time.I was big on live bait but when I was a kid there was on old timer that would use chicken guts or shad parts and they work just not my thing is all. Well it looks like you had some fun. We uesd to hand fish alittle any ole creek would do,we would slip off into the Salt Fork river and run our hand up into any old car bodys are up under the bank. If the hole the hole was clean and sandy it was ago. But if the hole was muddy and not clean we would just move on to the next spot.
