The video didn't show me anything I could get excited about, because it was too far away for any detail.
You can see the witnesses are getting upset. Something is going on for sure with the number of units that keep arriving.
It does appear the subject is on the ground and cops are standing over him. What that means is the subject can't resist too much, and nothing that would justifie the picture you see of this guys face.
If there are some pictures of this guy punching cops, or pictures of the cops who were obviously punched by the subject before he was taken to the ground, then you have SOME justification in what immediatly followed when the cops got punched.
The photo of the guy is shocking and would outrage the average person.
Anyone who has dealt with the mentally disturbed knows they don't FEEL any pain when attempting to get their cooperation through pain compliance holds, or other techniques for that matter.
Punching someone who feels no immediate pain does nothing other than you might break your hand.
Flashlights are no longer an acceptable means of self protection unless the threat is immediate and compelling when defending your life from attack.
If the taser doesn't work, then nothing else will as far as pain compliance.
With shear body weight you sit on the person, leg shackle and hobble them, then transport to the appropriate facility.
I'd say the FBI will be ALL over this one as they should be.
The cops better hope that have some ugly pictures of their injuries to justifie the outcome here. [ July 28, 2011, 06:15 AM: Message edited by: Ken ]
