Those are freaking amazing. To imagine the expertise to make such mechanical wonders back in 1820, with their tools of the day, stifles me.

You have no idea how long I have been looking for a set of matching singing bird pistols, by the one and only Frères Rochat! My dreams are coming to life! [ July 20, 2011, 01:39 PM: Message edited by: smithers ]

Let me know if you win the bid Smither's... I'll loan you the cash! Try to keep it below 3mil or I'll have to raise the interest rate a 1/4%!
Those are amazing mechanical devices but they are also BUTTUGLY!!! What a waste of time and skill. A toy built for grownups of registry.

Hey, if he's stupid enough, I have no sympathy; a fool and his money, etc. I hear he bought it as a prototype? He has been working on a singing bird machine gun for quiet some time.

I think I get this,..... you pull the trigger and the bird comes out. The coyote will think to itself, "Now, that is cool" and approach you, mesmerized by the little bird, then you club him over the head with a rock.
The real questions is, what kinda goofy bastard thinks up such a thing?

You are confused and mistaken, I sold them, I didn't buy them. I was given them by my great great great great uncle, his highness the Grand Duke Dan Carey.

Crikey!!!!...............No bleepin' wonder we had to save France's ass in two different wars. This must be what happens when you mix anti-freeze with grape kool-ade & call it wine; somebody ordered pistols to shoot birds with and got pistols that had birds come out the barrel.

Yes, the movement probably wouldn't be that difficult for a master watchmaker, but making the tweet sounds mechanically, that really takes a special talent.
$5.8 million on toys. Gotta hand it to ya, Dan! (the man) I guess he can afford steaks and beer, but no machine gun for a door prize? What a Scrooge!
