As close to a celebrity as we have around here I suppose, although the pictures add about 10 years in age. Or is that weight.

I'd say you did a fine job, Calvin. I have not messed with bears much, but that looks to be a pretty one.

I have killed a couple bobcat in trees. The claws, etc. snag on everything, it's amazing, at least those I have had experience with. You pretty much have to go after them. It definitely is not like the stories where a lion pitches out of a tree, hitting nothing on the way down.

Good hunting. LB

Probably 2 or 3 years and 125 lbs is the guestimate. I do know that dead weight is hard to lower out of a tree by youself. I had a wrap around a limb and still was about too much weight. But there was plenty of armed gustapo about, and they were more than ready to shoot if something would have went wrong. 4 Police snipers I believe, and damnded sure some itchy trigger fingers. It would have been like the marine in Arizona for poor old Boo Boo. [Big Grin]

One thing for sure, those cops love the action and the anticipation of action. Were they licking their lips, acting all nervous. Ha, they are sure funny to watch.

Save that stuff for your scrapbook, Cal.
