Tyler and I met Scott Francom in 2007. He had gotten back into calling after a several year absence and was wrathy with passion for the sport.
He sought out and called with every experienced caller in the Phoenix area that he could.
A school teacher, Scott got off work at 3:00pm and went calling every day and every weekend. He spent his entire 3 month summer hiatus calling predators.
Scott learned and advanced his skills quickly. He joined both of the Phoenix clubs and called with the most successful members. He accepted prostaff position offers from several companies.
He joined Huntmasters at my invitation and quickly got sideways with some members in a controversial thread that I began in order to tweak and poke Rich Cronk. Cronk makes disparaging remarks about me at any opportunity and I usually let them pass until something presents itself to poke a little fun at him.
I called Leonard and asked how to register under the screen name CNONK which is how Cronk signs some of his howlers(I have one signed like that) .
Leonard set up the member registration and I posted a few l photos that Scott took of me posing with several coyotes laid out at the Multi-Club check in while wearing a gorilla mask. Craig who was the president of APC at that time hunted with us on that contest donned the mask and Scott took hero shots of us during the hunt.
I posted those photos and a story written by CNONK.
Some members saw the humor, a couple did not, and Scott found himself embroiled in a heated debate that turned nasty when a member made comments about Scott’s wife. Posts were made that resulted in hard feelings between Scott and Leonard. Scott was banned from HM for the first time.
Meanwhile I was posting photos at PredatorMasters of coyotes interacting with Minaska’s ecaller and motion decoy. Foxpro supporters joined the thread with some making snide remarks about the pics. A question by Steve Dillon gave me the opportunity to challenge eight Foxpro staffers to a photo contest . The goal being photos of coyotes making contact with the caller. The offer was declined but the chief antagonist and I continued debating.
I was soon banned from PM along with Vic, Dan Carey and Gary Clevenger. Quite an uproar ensued which resulted in Gary purchasing the domain name Predator Monsters which was evidently intended for discussing the movie beasties hence the name.
Gary setup a board for the sole purpose of giving banned PM members a forum to air their displeasure with the staff at PM. He called it “The Land of the Banned” and required all members to choose a nom de guerre or nom de plume to prevent retaliation from Predatormasters.
Anonymity and freedom to use obscenities resulted in some of the most obscene laced posts ever written on a public forum. Everyone in the predator hunting community condemned the forum, yet everyone visited several times a day and read it.
My screen name was Nimrod and I revealed my identity in my first post. I have never posted anything anywhere that I would be ashamed for my mother or children to read..
Some anonymous members took the opportunity to air grievances against Leonard and Huntmasters. On two occasions I posted in support and defense of Leonard, extolling his virtues and good qualities. I was not banned for doing so.
Scott and Leonard attended the ATA convention in Globe in 2008. A truce was made and Scott was invited to the campout which he attended and was reinstated on Huntmasters.
Leonard stated that he believes Scott is behind the attacks on HM and him. Derogatory comments are made and replied to at every turn. Scott is banned for the second time.
Scott posted a scathing, blistering, obscene attack on Leonard on Predatormonster.
I posted in defense of Leonard..
Scott won the annual “Expert Caller of the Year” award and I congratulated him on Huntmasters. Leonard replied with a post laced with obscenities that ridiculed Scott.
I then made a post that supported and defended Scott, extolling his virtues and good qualities just as I had done for Leonard on Predatormonster but I made the mistake of telling Leonard that the use of obscenities on his board was unbecoming of him.
Leonard, apparently upset, replied “You are not my mother”.
In a failed effort to defuse the situation with humor I replied. “If I were your mother I would wash your mouth out with soap and make you stand in the corner.”
The next time I logged on to Huntmasters I received the message
Your posting privileges have been suspended .

What has always puzzled me was the "soap opera" theme that has followed every board I know of. It's been stated many times that the internet leaves alot to be desired. Some wouldn't say some of these things face to face and some of the things we take as spiteful would clearly be seen as a jest between friends, face to face.
This is an interesting read and I hope a start to a new chapter...

Rich I had to laugh at some who said the "monsters" was the worst thing on the internet. But they were there reading the drama too. LOL!!!
Yep Scott got after them predators and applied everything he had into fine tuning his technique and quest for information on predator hunting.
He hussled and in my book can hold his own.
In the perfect world everyone would have said good job. The real world unless you walk softly, you get into trouble around the old hats.
But the internet will make you or break you.

This is enjoyable.
Ladder boy does come across as a DB.
I crossed the line and maybe should have been suspended or banned but I don't believe Leonard ever saw what was written. After you and "what's his name" (seriously I can't remember his name) gave me a verbal spanking, I edited what was said. It was in poor taste and for the most part meant as a cruel and unusual joke.
Any site w/ out drama languishes.
