If you did not see/hear this recently on t.v., turn up your volume and listen. The end especially will blow you away. One of THE BEST renditions of this song I have ever heard. Carrie Underwood is simply fantastic.

Al, are you kidding!!!! She is one of the most ignorant left wing animal rights wackos out there. If she were on fire, I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on her to help put it out. You need to research your singers a bit more. Carrie Underwood needs to go the way of the Dixie Chicks. I guess you are entitled to yor opinions and can spend your money as you see fit, but she will never see a nickle of mine. I get pissed when supposed country radio plays her at all. She's not country, she's pop, and she sucks at that even. And she hates everything real country people stand for including and epecially hunting.

What Cal says is true. And, that's a dilemma for me. if she was butt ugly, it would be a much easier decision [Frown] , but she is outspoken when it comes to animal rights issues - not animal welfare, animal rights - and because of that, she stands in opposition to the very folks who raised her in that small Okie town, like ranchers, hunters, outdoorsmen, and the like. My wife thinks I tend to be a bit overboard on these things, but I can't forgive celebrities their political agendas when they use that celebrity status to push their wares. I won't be buying. If you're a singer, sing. Preach what you know. Otherwise, STFU.

I did not know this? I had heard she was a vegetarian, maybe a vegan, now that I think about it?

I'm grateful, Cal. She's a cute little bitch but with her views I pretty much feel the same way; I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire.

Those people are so screwed up, it's not funny. Animal rights is a bogus issue. Animals do not have rights and to believe that they do is a perversion of the meaning of the word.

She's poison from the word go, animal right activist, wants to stop rodeos, etc. etc.

She seems to have forgotten the core she was brought to the forefront with.

Totally Hollywood now!!!

I always liked Kelly Pickler as a down to earth non phony celeb. She has been on numerous tours to Iraq and tells fart jokes, etc. Plus she's cute as a bug.

You know how Cal is the real deal opposed to say, Byron who is a celebrity and nobody can figure out why? It sure as hell ain't because he knows a lot about hunting predators. He would like you to believe he has been there and done it, but he's a fake, although not as bad as Kelly's friend.

Forgive me Lord and be with the starving pigmies, etc.

Well guys, believe it or not, Carrie Underwood's view on anything didn't enter into me sharing what I regarded as a great rendition of a wonderful song. I kind of thought Vince Gill's guitar work was outstanding too.

By the way, I didn't pay anything to see that on television.

I would have submitted this post to the political review forum before submitting it if I had known all these facts about Carrie.

As I stated before, Carrie Underwood's views on anything didn't enter into my post.

By the way, did you notice that Blake Shelton gave them a standing ovation. He is an avid hunter, but I guess I can't enjoy his music anymore?

Okay, I checked with everybody and you have permission to enjoy Blake Shelton, just don't get crazy.

Far as that goes, I guess you can be a Carrie Underwood fan, understand that she's a control freak with Liberal Hollywood type world views.

No Carrie Underwood fan here either. I do like Miranda Lambert, cute as as all get out and loves hunting and fishing. Here is the song that put Lambert on my radar...

Hang in there, Al.
I once made the mistake of playing an Emmy Lou Harris tape with-in hearing of some hairy legged folks who knowed me up pretty quick about her PETA support. Now I only play her stuff while skinning coyotes. Seems to make the job go a little easier.

It never ceases to amaze me how often people with a huge amount of talent can have so little common sense.

I didn't notice Blake clapping, because I didn't watch it. But kudos to him for being polite. I like Blake Sheltons views and if you want to see some funny shit, follow him on Twitter. I don't do Twitter, but my wife does and she shows me some of the stuff he writes. He absolutely hammers antis on there and is about as crude and relentless as I have ever seen. Funny stuff.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings Al. But I call them like I see them and I make it a point to drag people like Underwood through the mud every chance I get. I'm sure she would gladly return the favor if I were rich and famous, but alas..... I'm not. [Big Grin]

LB, maybe you could change Al's description to "Carrie's only fan" or something like that!

Al,don't take any shit off these guys. I don't even know who this Underwood chick is. Al I do like the old time shit like Just As I Am and Power In The Blood. But you just don't get to here songs like that here in Vegas now a days.
The church I do a tend perhaps once or twice a year has a rock band and they suck any way. They did play Slow Train Coming By Dylan one day.And I still like to here Amazing Grace a song that was wrote by a hard core slave trading low life scumbag that heard the Gospel one day and his life was changed for ever. I think that was around 300 years ago.Think I'm full of shit google it up.
Al I dig what your saying and I under stand all of the other guys points of view.

But it will be a cold day in hell before any one ever changes my mind on what and who I will listen to ever.
It is a drag about Emmy Lou for sure she does have some talent.
Linda Ron stat well they ran her ass out of Vegas.
I don't listen to any of that shit that Nashville calls country but that's just me. I do like the the old shit,Jones and Haggard and just about all the out laws. I grew up on Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys.Still dig the the shit out of Hank Sr. and Hank 3.
Hell I still like John Denver!
Well hope I can still hang around here.
Peace out dudes!

I read that Carrie Underwood likes Toyotas and chevy's so I don't even think about getting one let alone ride in one either....

Actually could care less about a singers personnel life, if they sing a good song I'll listen to it...
