Definitely two guys at the opposite ends of the predator calling spectrum, I might add.
Was eating my lunch yesterday and was watching FoxPro's Fast and Furious program, and much to my surprise, KJ was the main focus!
Great program, and it was nice to put a voice with a picture!! Although it would have been nice to see the signature cigar
...if it was there I must have missed it. If it was a repeat, I am sorry, just a first for me.
Now on to the other guy...got my mail tonight and received my copy of the International Hunter Ed Assn. journal for this month.
In it was an article by none other that BBBBBAR on the merits of using an airgun for predator hunting.
I guess he took the sponsorship from Crosman that Lance turned down. After reading the article and seeing his end of article 'credentials' I kind of threw up in my mouth a bit.
If anyone wants to see the article, shoot me an email and I will send you a scanned PDF!

"Cat Daddy Cold"?????
Just saw the episode. The cigar was there, but where was the fist pumping & end-zone dances??
Actually, I enjoyed the program even though I don't hold decoys in high regard.

QUITE the spectrum! On one end, you have a gentleman that makes it easy to look easy, the other, a guy who pushed it too hard and in the end didn't find the stardom, not even the illusion of celebrity in the predator hunting world.
The fast track to success and fame via PredatorMasters didn't work to good fer' ya, did it B-Bar? The alignment you made with the likes of Mock and Redfrog brought you hate and disrespect amongst the folks in the know, but do take comfort that you probably fooled a few newbies! The stench of your backroom involvement at PredatorMasters will unfortunately be a cross that you'll have to bear for quite some time.
At least TC/223, C Middleton and MidgetOnADonkey still have your back, BBBBBBBBBB B-Bar! Maybe you still have the good folks at Foxpro fooled, but I'm sure most of the industry has seen through your sincere insincerity :>P

Are these two separate events? I know that Kelly knows B Bar, I believe they have dined together? <no smirking!>
The thing with Kelly was a Foxpro show, and B Bar was a print article?

Who is midget on a donkey?

I saw the show. They got a nice cat at the end too. It was nice not to see all the hoot'n & Holler'n, Fist pumping, and hearing, "Now that's what I'm talking about".
Kelly sure called up a bunch of coyotes in that half hour.

I know Berry and his wife. They have always treated me right.

I don't think I get this post! Can some one lead be out of the darkness!
Posted by booger (Member # 3602) on May 13, 2011, 06:34 PM:
Sorry for the confusion guys...my point was that in the same day I saw a good coyote hunter on TV, and when I get home from work, my IHEA Journal has an article in it on shooting predators with an airgun by Barry Stewart, aka RockinBar on the PMS board.
Mr. Barry evidently has now been sponsored by Crosman, and is now out writing articles and espousing himself as the expert on all things coyote.
Didn't want to offend you, KJ, but I think you are exactly the opposite of what Barry holds himself out to be.
Hope that 'splains it!

We sort of put Kelly on the spot last year at the campout. He is too much a gentleman to knock Berry. The only comment we could get out of him was: "HE MARRIED WELL". His wife must be quite the charmer. And, of course, it follows that Berry is one lucky guy.
Now, as to his moderating skills, or his coyote expertise, there are many opinions. Many.

Thanks guys. Kelly Jackson is easy to like not that I know the man.But any one who knows where Davis Oklahoma is or any thing about the Lake of the Ar buckles is OK by me.
Too Big To Fail aka Booger thanks for your post it's been a good one and I now see the light.

I think you have met Kelly at the Seligman campout, right? You should have gone hunting with him. He and Les Johnson were the two biggest celebrities at that event, besides the Professor and Fruit Loops. And, Gerry Blair.

It's a bit of a drag to admit I'm blazed right now but perhaps that's just how it is in the land of 247365!Big less johnson fan here.I spoke to Gerry Blair and the days of his being a Arizona law man did come up.And how he spent some time on Arizona rote 68 near Bullhead city Arizona and some of his haunts along his route.Yes I did get to met Gerry Blair thanks to LBs site.I would never say I know Gerry Blair.I did get to go out and make four stands with Rich Higgins, how ever much time we spent on that hunt and in the ford truck I had at that time. And know matter how much Kelly Lewis went on about being a real cowboy.I will never be able to go on about how well I know those two guys. But of course I will feel for ever connected to them. And the of corse I got to met the biggest star of them all Brad Pit,and as I walked up to him he simply said does any one know this guy!
Is there a point to this not sure, Perhaps I just think it's a bit wrong and some what disrespectful to drop names.I mean I spoke to cross Jay,the dude out of LA,God I hope you can swim, not so sure oil field trash can float. And hell even Randy Shaw has lend on my tail gate. But I don't know any of them well.I would sure as hell like to do a few stands with Randy Shaw.I don't know if Smithers is stuck somewhere between space time or even the here and now but believe it or not I'm even a big fan of his.
Hey LB I'm still stuck on number three, plus thanks for letting me hang around here.
Richard Dollar,Las Vegas Nevada.

I think Gerry Blair may be in the process of writing a book about his DPS exploits, or at least including these in his next book.

I see the seams have weakened on the neatly sealed package that contians the PM drama from a couple years back, and the toxins are seeping. It's gotta be healthy to let some of those feelings go, GC, now that some time has passed and the dust has settled. The goings on in that inner circle at PM had to have been similar to what you see happen on Survivor and some of the other silly reality based TV shows. Guys slithering around forming secret aliances they believed would benefit them most. All the while talking out of both sides of their mouth, saying one thing to a certain person and something completely different to others. Some of those fellas may have made good politicians.
Edit:
Well looky there, I've got a new custom title. Thanks Leonard! Had to look at a couple of pictures to decide whether my feelings should be hurt of not...they're not. BUT, do I have to tell the Tom Selleck story again?

cayotaytalker, kj dont know where davis is at, he's just seen it on the news and knows that at times they have had a good football team, ha. are you from down that way?
Posted by Cayotaytalker (Member # 1954) on May 14, 2011, 10:42 PM:
Trapper2,I'm from Enid.I think the last time I was at Davis was back in 1977.My uncle used to live there in Davis, and later got a patch of land down close to the lake. And there were some relatives in Ardmore as well. There are a few folks down that way that we still know.

Enid eh? I spent no small number of weekends in that town chasin skirts on Van Buren
Posted by Cayotaytalker (Member # 1954) on May 15, 2011, 08:48 AM:
It was fun growing up in Enid we thought we was in a big city and were hot shit.I have one life long friend that still lives there,my wife's dad and a few more from her side but that's about it.
There's a few old time coon hunters left around there.
When I go back there I have to learn to slow down and get used to people saying Hi to me and how things move a little slower.
There used to be some guys around there that used to run coyotes with hounds. My guess there all gone now.
North of there is a town name of Pound Creek a man over there used to run coyotes with dogs and it seams he was well known for his dogs his name was Crow. There used to be a few guys around there that would hand fish.
There used to be alot of coyotes around as well back in the 70's that is. And to bad for me I did not care about coyotes and was clueless about calling coyotes or predators. I did know a few good fishing holes.
I'm a catfish guy and like to use bank poles and lines.I mean sure I knew of a few good bass pounds.I think you guys just call them tanks.
Enid's fine but I like your part of the state and even south of Davis like the south east corner of the state. We used to live in Choctaw county,a little wide spot in the road name of Spencer Ville.
The thing I miss about Oklahoma is having a garden. The thing I like about Nevada is all of the BLM land. What I do not like about Nevada is the draw to get a tag.

32below,no shit? For sure there was alot of ass to be had in that town.Van Buren hell ya that was the main drag the strip as we would say.Friday and Saturday nights. From Sandy's drive in to the west gate shopping center are what ever the name of that little strip mall was called.shit I used to live right be hind Sandy's drive in.We had a lot of good party's back in the day for sure.
Sandy's is a Carl's JR now, well that was along time ago. I'm sure the kids there have there on way of having fun now days.

Am once again abulatory so will have gun in hand come fall. Mulhall? Is that restaurant in the old bank still open?

You aren't tuned to Okie, Rich!
It's not what they SAY, exactly, it's what they MEAN. If you are going to get hung up on a few misplaced words or a couple missing words, you are not going to GET IT. Ever.
Maybe a joint would help? I don't smoke dope, but it sounds reasonable, in theory.
