Yeah, I should pull a few out of the archives, for laughs. As John Denver says, "like herpes".

I see it doesn't matter if I use your name or not, you still think I'm talking about you. The Psychiatrists have a word for that. Anybody, help me out please?

T... A... from Minnesota? Would that be Tim Anderson from Minnesota? Would that be the Tim Anderson that co-authored an article about bobcat trapping in Minnesota for Fur-Fish-Game Magazine recently?
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 28, 2011, 08:12 PM:
Well, don't tease! Tell us all about it!
Yes, he is from Minnesota.
GH/LB
Posted by JD (Member # 768) on April 28, 2011, 08:15 PM:
I would say that if t-bag has never trapped a bobcat before that there is a damn good chance that he wrote an article about it.
t-bag......?

There obviously is a severe shortage of qualified outdoor writers, these days? GH/LB

A featured article???? Almost makes me want to get the current issue...almost.
Posted by GC (Member # 3718) on April 29, 2011, 01:15 PM:
TA wrote the article but the actual field experience came from another fellow that is supposed to be an authority on the subject. I'd have to re-read it but I don't think TA took any undue credit as an authority on the subject and best as I remember the article wasn't poorly written. I was just curious if that was actually TA17 or someone else.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 29, 2011, 01:39 PM:
Yeah well, how many articles have the twins co-wrote for a National Publication?
GH/LB
Posted by GC (Member # 3718) on April 29, 2011, 06:09 PM:
Waiting for TA to let us know if this is in fact his article...?
Posted by jimanaz (Member # 3689) on April 29, 2011, 06:49 PM:
Just a WAG, but if this
quote:
the article wasn't poorly written
is the case, then this
quote:
TA wrote the article
cannot be so without a monumental editing effort. Besides, I don't recall Tim ever showing much interest in cats. I suppose he could be keeping secrets, but that would be totally un-Tim-like.
Posted by JD (Member # 768) on April 29, 2011, 07:47 PM:

Someone else did it but Tim told everyone about it......yea that's definitely t-bag
Of course we all know that writers don't actually DO everything they write about, I just couldn't let a chance at a cheap shot slide by.
Better look out Lance, he's prolly gunnin for your job.
jiminaz....I was thinking the same thing, The editor/proofreader has prolly checked himself into rehab after that nightmare.

I don't know why TA has not come forward on this? People want to know, right from his lips if he is writing articles about which he knows nothing.
?????????????????
Posted by GC (Member # 3718) on April 30, 2011, 01:56 PM:
Leonard,
I'm not defending TA, but for clarity that is not exactly what I said; in that the author didn't take the actual credit for being an authority on the subject and was openly admitting he was passing on information gained from another source.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 30, 2011, 02:44 PM:
I'm not quoting you or anybody else. GC
In point of fact, I heard from Tim and he said it wasn't he that wrote the article but to not say anything about it, hoping to bother GC a little while longer. I swear, that's what he said and now you know.
So, apparently there is another Tim Anderson out there, hiding in the bushes? Hard to believe, huh?

There seems to be a out-break of Identity theft going around theses days. First Cmiddleton then Tom/JD and now me..LOL
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 30, 2011, 03:03 PM:
Yeah, that's true. Somebody stole both the twins passwords and has been posting all kinds of caca. If you get an email from either a contractor or an elite automotive electrician, be very suspicious, especially if they want to share 6 million dollars with you.

Posted by JD (Member # 768) on April 30, 2011, 03:30 PM:
Who are the twins? and should I reset my password? are we gonna need to go into lockdown?
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 30, 2011, 04:50 PM:
Duh! You are. You and Tom. We have two "bad" boys, he gives 49 a hard time and you have no mercy when it comes to TA. But, I'm just saying. I am not telling anybody what to do or how they should conduct themselves. Really, it's okay. I don't have a problem, I enjoy reading everything you have to say, and what Tom says. You two know how to call a spade a spade and that's fine, so don't get all sensitive on me.
I'm just having a little fun with y'all. When somebody is as accomplished as you, Internet social interaction stuff, etc., then you should be cool with a little static aimed in your direction, and it is absolutely friendly in nature, okay? Don't take anything I say, serious.
Got a BBQ to go to, talk to you later.

What?? When did I ever give t-bag a hard time?
I actually thought someone was emailing you using my name or something. seems to be a popular thing to do.

Ohhh... so he's baiting now. Maybe he's finally found something he's good enough at to be called a "master..." Joking... sorta

I don't mind Tom giving me a hard time every once in a while. He does so in a kind of respectful way, and he is hard to stay mad at.
I will repay the compliment and say that he is good people, regardless of us being on opposite sides of the fence.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 30, 2011, 07:07 PM:
Absolutely, if you can ignore that "Prima donna" automotive electrician swagger, he's a good guy.
For an Okie.
GH/LB
edit: GC, he is only baiting, to use the term loosely, by not jumping in here yesterday, as soon as he knew you were concerned. So, he deliberately let you dangle for way too long and I (being the compassionate person that I am) couldn't bare to see you suffering like this. You'd do the same for me. I know it.

Sorry GC..
When it comes to keeping a secret Leoanard is about as good as my wife, she can only keep one for about a day...LOL
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on April 30, 2011, 07:55 PM:
Okay, I admit it. Just call me, Blabbermouth. But, I could see how it was eating at him, when you pointed it out and couldn't stand to see him suffer a minute longer.
The difference between me and your wife is you can't give me a "time out".
Good hunting. LB

Everytime I give the wife a time out she goes out and spends my money... I don't think I could afford youre's...LOL
