Well, a moment of silence, if you please. Tim Anderson sent me an email asking to have his membership canceled.
He said he had a couple of better offers from other message board operators that promised to treat him far better than these mean Huntmaster members; you know who you are.
While I have jumped on him myself, on the other hand, he has been a project and I usually tolerated his little deviants.
I wonder who the kind hearted souls might be, that invited him elsewhere?
Well, I told himI wasn't deleting his membership and he can come back any time he feels more welcome.

This is all very dramatic.....to be honest.....I feel bad about what happened to him and I kinda miss him a little. I didn't really think he was such a bad guy but that whole watergate thing sorta screwed everything up didn't it, other than that Richard Nixon was OK in my book.

I offered him $500 to come back, so it's not about the money, he just wants a more professional climate to work in. As he said; he's OUTGROWN us. It was never because of that dink that was continually ragging on him.

Yes, official resignation needs to go before the whole board. Decisions normally take two to three weeks, after we receive the application fee and it clears the bank.

Hmmm. Well, if it's true, it's regrettable. Furthermore, it will necessitate the designation of someone else as the throw-down house ass clown for everyone to revile and cast voluminous and questionable abuse upon. I've sat back and watched things around here long enough to know that this site will implode on itself like a black hole if it doesn't have someone to kick around, unless of course we establish a rotation schedule of members to beat down on a monthly basis. To expect simple civil discourse to break out on this site just because TA has quit the field is a pipe dream. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

This post bothers me. Now, the member hasn't been around long enough to know that it doesn't "implode" unless someone is getting picked on. But, some people should realize that freedom has consequences. And, for instance, TA has been around a long time and acquired a number of critics. Now, if I were to perform my duty as in other places, I would delete personal attacks. edit: this is something I find personally distasteful, called censorship.
But, I hope, (actually, I know) that the only reason people come here is not to rag on someone and keep the place from imploding. We better start acting like gentlemen, or people like Del will think they know better.

Since I may be t-bags biggest thorn in the side, I'll say this one time for the benefit of those who are more sensitive than me.
I believe any attack is personal but I did take freebies on t-bag, like suggesting that he likes sheep in an unhealthy way or hangs out in gay bars, that can clearly be classified as a mix of hyperbole and testosterone, not intended to be taken seriously, a cheap shot, whatever you call it is fine by me.
But I won't suffer fools who flat out lie and give advice on things that they know nothing about, every day on every board, some may disagree with me and that's fine but I see no need in enabling him to continue with his delusions and flat out lies nor do I think he's a "project" LB. These are my opinions, I'll let others speak for themselves. I know that some find it troubling that I jump on t-bag a lot and probably see me as an asshole, I'm sorry you feel that way, I don't now nor have I ever attacked a board member besides him, I would think the reason for that is obvious....there is no one else anywhere that spews that much BS. Even the pms crowd refers to him as the jester and they aren"t allowed to even say that nowadays. Censorship at it's finest.
Some may not understand what I'm talking about or what t-bag is all about yet they jump in the fight head first and get all emotional with their hurt feelings. Before you jump in a dust up I believe you owe a debt of due diligence.
I'm not sure what Del meant with his post but I don't think this board needs anyone to be the whippin boy, it's just not true, I won't presume to know what he means but because I've seen Del on the boards for years and know a little of what he's like I will certainly be open to considering anything he posts and trying to understand it.
As far as acting like gentlemen, well...I'm an asshole so I'll let someone else define what that looks like.
LB...I appreciate the freedom that has been afforded us on your site, I personally believe that it's self correcting, as ugly as it may appear at times. Anyway....thanks.
It may be time to let this dog lay down and go to sleep.

Don't go getting all sentimental and mushy on us. We talked about your focus on TA via email a while back and I believe I said that it was up to you to use your own judgement.
I am not blaming you, it's my fault for allowing the dog piling without a little more effort toward deflecting some of the more personal stuff. You know, like responding to his information without the colorful names, this may have kept a lid on the really rude comments.
But, don't quit on us. It's kinda your responsibility to fill the void for a while, call it community service.
Glad somebody likes my costume, it's getting a little tight across the shoulders.

Sorry, I'm working this weekend, which means 6 am to 6 pm Fri-Sat-Sun and noon to 8 overtime on Monday, so my capacity to respond in a timely manner is diminished.
JD...relax, brother! I did not mean that I want to 'villify' you, I don't want to 'villify' you, and I'm not going to 'villify' you!!! I was being facetious, pardner! I even threw in a smiley!
Think about it...if anything, I got a touch annoyed with Tim, not because I've ever met him or have history with him or anything, but simply because it seemed like he had agreed to return a call, then didn't do it. Maybe he had a good reason not to, but if he did, it didn't 'resonate', as the pundits like to say these days, with me.
You guys all know each other, have history with each other. I don't. I'm a pilgrim here, for the most part, having interacted with some of you guys over in John-Henry's house. I've never had a problem with you or anybody else. As far as I have always been able to tell, you are good people. I hold you in high regard and respect you..as I do any and all men, until they give me reason not to. I lost some of both for Tim over the call thing, but I still try to remain civil with anyone who will let me. If I determine somebody isn't worthy of my friendship or trust, or if they deliberately start fucking with me in a malevolent fashion, then I'm more than happy to fight, fuck, and wrestle with anyone.
This house mandates that it's inhabitants have moderately thick skins. This fact has been voiced by multiple others on here. Sometimes folks josh with each other, sometimes there is genuine animosity being demonstrated, and on occasion it is a tad difficult to tell the difference. That's why if y'all seem serious about messing with each other I usually stand back and let nature take it's course.
Ok, JD? Are we good now? Are we tight and right?

I don't think anybody is really 'to blame'. Tim chose to come here..Tim chose to leave. Nobody made him leave. That was his decision and his decision alone. This is the arena. To whatever extent he was wrong, then he was the one drawing fire. To whatever extent he wasn't wrong, this venue allowed him an opportunity to defend himself. If somebody doesn't want to be here, then it's probably best for the house and the community, and for that individual as much as anyone, if they go find someplace that makes them happy. This house won't collapse because he is gone, any more than it was made stellar by his presence. We are all expendable.
