Well, this is a lot of trouble, to do until I get the hang of Macbook, but I managed to catch this formation of biplanes flying over the house. Well, mostly biplanes.
Good hunting. LB

Today, January 9 is my 50th wedding anniversary, had she lived. But, I'm going to keep counting. I see nothing wrong with that.
Good hunting. LB

Happy 50th Leonard.
Good pictures of those old planes. Maybe you could go for a flight in one and aerial attack some coyotes in the desert.

Fifty years committed heart and soul to the same wonderful woman? Not a thing wrong with that. Watching my dad lose two women and seeing how living through that changed him showed me just how big and soft a heart that man had. I never knew how much he loved my mom until after she had died. I mean, dad was what all dad's should be. Tough as boot leather, disciplinarian, unshakeable. Seeing your dad cry just ain't right, but I did on several occasions in those last few years. Kinda like seeing a rock crumble. I had always thought that their vows were "until death did they part", thinking all along that this referred to whichever one went first. It wasn't until looking back after his passing did I realize that it really meant until after he died and was no longer here to enjoy that kind of love. Know that by still counting, your kids know even better how much you loved their mother.
I was getting ready to step out to the garage and enjoy a stogey. Not much of a drinker, so I'll salute you and your wonderful bride on your big day as I blow billowing clouds of smoke.
Happy anniversary, Elbee.

Happy anniversary to you and Nancy. I continue to count the years Bruce and I have been married. After all, I'm still married in my heart.

Happy anniversary, my friend! Those who we love, we love, even unto death..and beyond..until once again we join them. And it speaks well of you, as a man, that you feel that way and act accordingly. We all admire and respect you for it!

Lots of wisdom being spoken here Leonard!
She loved you and you still love her... I'd like to think that's the way it's supposed to be.
Happy 50th Anniversary to you!

Wow. Thanks guys. It ain't been easy, today. I was watching one of those PBS pledge drives and it was John Denver singing "Annie's Song" that brought me to tears. Like right now, matter of fact. She was a good woman and I was lucky to have her for 44 wonderful years.

Tears huh? Old curmudgeons like us ain't supposed to do that, but..... While reading one of these posts, I flashed on a mental image that I will always carry, and a tear slipped from my eye too. My dad, walking across the hospital parking lot, away from the rest of us, looking for all the world like his entire world had fallen down around him. It was the day my mom passed. I think he still counted as long as he lived too, Leonard. Happy belated anniversary.

Seems like you have good taste in music, too. I have always like "Annie's Song".

I want you guys to know that I don't want the focus here on Huntmasters, to be on me. It's not all about me. On the other hand, how can it not be? I have no secrets, my entire life is an open book, and this amount to as much a Blog as it is a conversation among people with a common interest. I allow the discussion to wander wherever it may, freedom of speech on the internet as much as is practical and possible. And, believe me, the concept is kinda unique and I hope it's appreciated...and at the same time, putting up with a few details of my personal life. That's the deal, some people like it and some don't. But, there is another facet and that is, I'm one of you. You might have a question about the credentials of some of our Internet personalities, but I hope that I come across as that of someone that has been there and done that. Not an expert, but I have done this stuff for a long time and quite able to separate the pepper from the fly shit.
Good hunting. LB
