Since Leonard likes cop stories so much. Today at work:
Dispatch: Respond to skate board park on main. R.P. reports a moose is stuck in the park and can't get out.
Me: Uhhhh, 10-4?. (Thinking to myself, " who's messing with me?"

Anyways, I get there and there is a young bull moose stuck in the park. For some reason he walked down in there and because of the snow he couldn't get out. He kept slipping about half way up and sliding back down.
I was thinking if I ran down in there and shot him in the ass with my taser it might give him the extra boost he needs to get out, but discretion got the better of me and didn't try it. Plus people with video cameras were starting to show up..... So I just tried to keep the traffic from piling up until the F&G showed up.
The F&G guys came out and tranquilzed it and hauled it out of town.

Here he is, needs a skate board.

But, you didn't cite him? Lost revenue.

Don't get me wrong, I love our boys in blue.

Good hunting. LB

Sounds like fun.

The only other thing I could have suggested was some some speedy dry on the ramp.

They're not the brightest critters on the planet, that's for sure. Pretty funny story. They use rubber bullets up here (in the past) to try and deter them from hanging around certain areas like schools. One winter, there was one hanging around a school about 40 miles out of Fairbanks and the trooper took out his rubber bullet setup, which had been sitting in the car at around -30ºF for a couple days. Needless to say, that rubber bullet worked just like the real deal. All the kids on the playground watched as that cop killed the moose with the "rubber" bullet.

No..............That's good.

It taught the little kiddies that (1) Life isn't always 'fair' & (2) Never give anybody an excuse to shoot something at you, regardless of the circumstances.
