I went in to hospital last friday night with a high fever. Cat scan and xrays show what is believed to be pneumonia in both of my lungs. I was released about an hour ago, but will have no real answer until follow-up tests in a couple of weeks. I certainly hope it is pneumonia. They can cure that. I have to close my site down for unknown length of time. People who ordered howlers while I was in the hospital will receive full refunds.

Sorry to hear of your problems, Rich. I hope your illness is of short duration.

I have not mentioned it, but I have really been sick for a while. Finally, my daughter drove 400 miles and insisted that I see a doctor and she made me some chile just like her mom used to make. So, I went, and what a surprise, he said I had pnemonia? I never had a cough or cold, I just had a lot of sweats, soaked the bedsheets and a lowgrade fever. Well I took the antibiotics for two weeks and feel a lot better, but I think I need to go back, I feel a little upper respiratory discomfort, yet.

Anyway, take my example and see it through until you are 100%. We need you around here!

Good hunting. LB

Richard and Leonard, sorry to hear of you're health problems, and hope both of ya start feeling better.

There seems to be something going around ? Can't put a finger on it ?

I know that I've felt like crap, four of the last five weeks, I also soaked the bed sheets several times, weird ? I feel good now, went to the Doctor myself three weeks ago, they couldn't find anything wrong though ?

Hell, didn't even have any Miller-Lites for awhile [Frown]

As the Doc says lots of fluids and rest, I'll even quit picking on Leonard, If I have been ? until he feels better [Wink]

Hey Rich!

Was wondering why we hadn't heard from you. Hope everything turns out OK.

There has been lots of that going around here, too. I haven't had it yet and don't want it!!! Deer season opens in two weeks... I will be in the woods regardless!

All three of you take care of yourselves.

Sorry to hear about that Rich, Leonard and Dave. Hang in there and get better. I hate being sick.

I get to go to the hospital tomorrow for another procedure. Ive been having pain in my back and legs again. Seems that, according to the MRI, a sac of fluid has built up at the surgery site. More like a gelatin consistancy. I gotta go in the morning and let them stick a big ass needle in there and suck it out. Not lookin forward to that at all. [Roll Eyes]

Andy, sorry to hear you are having pain again, good luck tomorrow I hate needle's [Embarrassed]

Are we a bunch of old fuckers or what [Razz]

LOL, Dave, yeah, I think so.

I was talkin to an old friend while ago. I told him I gave my son both my tree stands and put my bow away for my youngest son when he grows up and got a ground blind and a crossbow. I think thats a sign of being an official old crippled fucker. [Big Grin]

Sorry to hear this, Rich. Git better.

Andy, Let's hope that the needle don't hurt and when they drain that abscess, you feel mucho better, too. This gittin' ol' sucks. I've been working on my truck ahead of the season and am doing some taxidermy work on the rocker panels. Got down there on the driveway last night to sand and had to roll over onto all fours to get back up. Damn! [Frown]

Getting old ain't for sissies. [Big Grin]

Get well soon.

You got that right, Semp. A good friend once told me that it was all about coping. Well a coping saw has always been my weakest tool in my tool box.

All you guys hurry up and get better.

Gettin old sucks canal water. And the real kicker is that the one advantage that is supposed to come along with getting old, attaining wisdom, hasn't happened, either. That has pretty much made gettin old a complete wash...for me, anyway.

Dang guys, hope ya'll (proper use of okie talk) get to feeling better.

I just got in from the doc this evening, my blood work is good so the meds aren't messing with me, I can still hear and no vertigo. All is good.

Now if I can just keep him from getting anymore of my money...

Yeah, getting old sucks.............but so does the alternative. [Eek!]

Rich, I do hope that whatever you have is easily curable. I remeber years ago when you visited us in Tucson. I'll never forget your laugh when Bruce pulled one of your socks, that Max had retrieved from your suitcase, out of his mouth. Also, I'm still going Bruce's things and came across the Shade Tree Howler, I think you sent for the BBQ we had. The label reads "Guaranteed to call in two-legged coyotes ... all night long". Inside the box is a beer bottle with a call stuck in the neck.

Take care,
Chris Kennedy

Well yeh Koko, but I often feel that the alternative wouldn't be so bad.

Guys,
I feel better this morning. Fever is gone, but cough is still there.

Andy,
Maybe you could use that fluid for ballistic gellatin. I hear you have some old clients that would be glad to blast that spot for ya.

Miss Chris,
Max was a wonderful dog, and he was a sock lover alright. Wasn't me that made that howler though, sounds like something Tim Behle or Danny Batastini would do. [Wink]

Feel better guys...

I have had pneumonia twice myself. Never both lungs though.

Rich, Fortunately, Max is still a sock stealing dog. He'll be 13 next month. Like so many of us he doesn't see or hear all that well, has arthritis and a low thyroid and takes several medications.

As for the howler, I have no idea who made it -- it wasn't Tim or Danny but, someone who does make calls and wasn't able to attend the BBQ.

Glad you're feeling much better.

Chris

Chris,
I'm glad that Max is still stealing sox. Would he like a new pair for his birthday? I could ship him a pair that I wore for a couple of days. That way he would know they were from me. That familiar Cronk aroma ya see.

I thought you liked that dog Rich. Dont kill it!

Rich, I have to agree with Andy, given Max's current health condition funky socks may very well do him in. But, thanks for thinkiing of hi [Big Grin] m.
