Howdy All
I am a new member to the board. I have been hunting all my life. I just starting to learn about calling. I was told this is a great forum and invited to stop by and check it out. I won't mention who invited be since I don't want to be hated by anyone starting out.
But I believe this gentleman uses calls as old as he is (if there are any that old)
Anyways thank for the great site and I will try to be an active member.

gcsod45, Welcome.
Seems like you have done some reading here and realize the constant flavor of ElBee's site.
FWIW, Usually I'm the sarcastic smart-ass in any group...I don't even try here. There are some real professionals here! And they know a thing or two about predators too!

If I find out it's koko, I'm hauling his butt into the backroom! Grrr
better yet, I'm sicing Andy on him.

Well, now that just sounds needy...
(See! We even take every cheap shot we can at the bossman. LOL)

Hey Paul;
Since I use a shotgun most of the time, I even think that 100 yards is a long shot. Anybody got a picture of El Bee holding a Mini-14?????
Posted by Bryan J (Member # 106) on August 12, 2010, 10:39 PM:
Was it JH???
Posted by Rich (Member # 112) on August 13, 2010, 05:34 AM:
"Was it JH???" [Confused]

Is Koko the one i here that coyote hunts with a slingshot?
Elbee they figured it out......I really didn't want them to know but these guys on here are real slick..... only problem is you are not the one that invited me.

---------------------------------
Well yes, but at least he doesn't shoot .17 caliber rocks at em.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on August 13, 2010, 04:14 PM:
I don't even know, for sure? But, judging by the/your location, that narrows down the list of suspects.
Good hunting. LB

I shot some .17 caliber ammo thru my .223 Mini-14 but the accuracy didn't seem to change much.
I've got a homemade overdraw slingshot & a bag of marbles for ammo. With the 60# bands, it will fold a jackrabbit in half pretty nicely. Paint balls work pretty well, also. Never tried it on coyotes.

Kokopelli,
I have some .45 caliber lead balls that were made for black powder rifles. They make dandy ammo for my wrist Rocket .
Leonard,
I don't know which of us is older, but I dang well FEEL old.
Posted by Kokopelli (Member # 633) on August 14, 2010, 08:24 AM:
Rich;
No doubt the lead balls work well. It seems like the old heavy / slow....... light / fast debate even spills over to slingshot ammo. I got a 'deal' on about 30 pounds of marbles and have learned to like them. I was getting right at 200 fps thru the Crony the last time that I played around with it. My slingshot is similar to the venerable Wrist Rocket, except that the fork is extended out about 12 inches in front of the grip. It'll knock a shit-bird out of it's feathers.
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on August 14, 2010, 08:39 AM:
Well, hold it with a firm grip. I'd hate to see you with that fork embedded in all that undergrowth. Hey, BRAIDS are bad ass! Yer otter try it.
Good hunting. LB
