Just woke up this morning wondering how he was doing.
Been putting off similar for a few years now. In no small part because I'm scared of it.
Have you heard anything Leonard?

I struck out?
I called and left a message. Twenty minutes later, I had a call back and the guy said that Andy didn't have this number any more, several people had called the number. I thought it was a very courteous gesture to take the time.
But, now what?

I haven't been around much the last couple of months...we've re-modeled our home, listed it for sale, moved, and we are still un-packing! It's been really busy for us. Enough about me...
Is Andy having another surgery? That man is a very large sack of jacked up bones - poor thing! Which surgery was it or did I not quite get the drift right?
Anyway, regardless of the ailment, Andy, I know you are a very tough and strong man. I wish you a quick recovery and I hope whatever procedure you had provides lots of pain relief!!! I'll even pray for your jacked up bones my friend! I really will.
Dave, if you're putting off a procedure...getter done...it's the right time so you'll be recovered by bow season.
I heard Chile' got a new bionic shoulder while I'd been away too. I hope you have a quick recovery also. Maybe you're all healed up already? I'll even send up a prayer for your pagan butt too! ![[Wink]](wink.gif) [ May 30, 2010, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: Locohead ]

Thanks Danny.....I can use all the help I can get. Im healing up well, but still have 2 times a week, for 8 more weeks, visiting Doc Pain, the physical therapist, a black guy, with the last name White. I hope andy does well, although Im not real sure just what kind of procedure he went thru? I know something with spine/neck/back....sure don't envy him.

Day two, no word. Worse anticipation than TOP KILL.
Andy, if they're holding you for ransom, just double click REPLY with your nose.
AZ, my tortoises got into that cactus you gave me, they chomped the buds! <sob> I could've wrung their cute little necks! I piled up rocks to protect what's left, sort of a, closing the barn door after the horses escaped, response.
Good hunting. LB

Thanks for the concern guys. I was set up for this coming Wednesday. Last Wed, my wife came home and my legs wouldnt work. I was in such intense pain, she said I was almost passed out and couldnt walk.
Off to the ER. Dr set me up and had surgery Friday. Now I got good news and bad news.
He was able to free it up very well. First time in 9 yrs I have had no pain in my legs, period. Very good. He was able to do it minimally invasive. I still have quite a bit of surgery pain, but it is easing.
Bad news, he is not sure it will stablize itself. Gotta have x rays every couple weeks for a while. If it stats to move, I will have to go back in for an x lift. Another minimally invasive surgery, that he makes a small incision on your side and a small incision in your back. its a clip with a screw that works really well.
Why he didnt do it now? This is at L4-5. I have the two discs above fused and it will limit mobility even more. IF it happens to move a lot, he will have to go in and remove the rods and screws aready in there, line everything up and fuse it all as one. That will not be fun at all.
For now, Im grateful to be pain free in my legs. My back will heal soon and be pain free. Then play wait and see. Im doing a lot of nothing, just like he said. Im afraid this is a high stakes game and he knows much more about it than I do.
Im also grateful to have so many that were worried. Nice to have friends. [ June 01, 2010, 03:54 AM: Message edited by: Andy L ]

It sounds like the bad news will turn good with time (provided there is no movement?) And the good news is a blessing! I had no idea about this surgery Andy. I'll be praying for you and will my family. We're gonna go grill the meat here in a min. or so, and after, the whole famn damily will pray for you together. Rest up well bro'. Enjoy the Lord during your quite time resting. Sounds like He just might have all under full control! ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Twisted hell... I was thinking the same thing, and I was serious...
No leg pain is good. Damn good.
I don't pray, so I won't lie and say that I'm going to. But I'll think good thoughts when I'm sipping whiskey and smoking a cigar.

I forgot to mention this. It was gettin pretty bad. I had went to another doctor for a second opinion. He ordered a myelogram to go with the mri. What a barbaric procedure, btw.
That was a week before I had to be admitted. For that whole week, I wasnt feeling right. Pain was worse and I was just kinda out of it. There are are few hours last wed before I was taken to the hospital that I lost. I dont remember.
Doc says I may well have had a reaction to the dye from the procedure, thats why he dont order them, that and the undue pain they cause to see no more than they show.
If you are ever asked to get one of these, think long and hard and talk to some other doctors. They are not needed. MRIs show everything. Some of these older docs were trained before MRI and refuse to use them.
Thanks again for the well wishs. Danny, thats like having an entire congregation praying. Thank you.

Good to hear you are feeling better Andy!
Listen to the docs and take it easy. Nothing is more important right now than getting healed up properly. Glad you are finally getting some comfort. Prayers sent!

Alright, vacations over, time to get back to work. You have a job to do and it ain't getting done. Save the reminisces for a slow day, Amigo! Your peeps need ya. Or, I can get TA to take over, if you want to continue milking this thing for more sympathy.
OK. Never mind. Glad to know you are feeling better. Now email me your new cell phone number so I can update my records.
Good hunting. LB

That's a start. You haven't hammered TA in several days. Maybe you can jump his ass for volunteering to send bass plugs to Loco? He needs to be taught that good deeds never go unpunished.
Also, mention his 17 problem needs a solution. 'nuff said.
You have a backlog of members that need guidance; the midwest is a particularly difficult region, as we all know. Neither fish nor fowl, flyover country, as it were?
No more yaking, get busy.
