Well, you will get there in a few years, Junior. It's called Medicare and involves baby boomers and rationing. It's a small sacrifice so that we can insure all those illegal Mexican anchor babies. They are so cute when they are little!

I have not been this bummed since Obama was elected. Welcome to American Socialism. I once had a shread of hope, now I think Democrats are pure evil. There is almost nothing honest about the whole process. Thanks alot, people! Somebody out there voted for change we can believe in? Simple bastards!

Good hunting. LB

I agree with ya Leonard...

Unfortunately this probably won't be the last new "change" in our country's policies that the Dem's attack.

I think we are witnessing the beginning of the next civil war. This will no doubt get very ugly, just like that evil witch Pelosi!

I'm just not ready to talk about it yet. I am so disgusted. I would like to plant a bullet in the traitor's foreheads right now, so I am confining myself to house arrest until my blood quits boiling.

Thats what gets me KoKo. Ive been trying to explain why I get so upset to my boys. They dont understand yet. I hope they will realize soon. It breaks my heart that they may never know what it is like to live in a free country. And, they will be paying for this dearly long after I am gone.

Sickening. We have nothing to pass to our children.

Next, the Head Narcissist in Charge will push for Cap and Tax. I'm hoping and praying that they all get an earfull when they go home during spring recess, and they go back to congress too afraid to pass anything until after November.

I saw a bumper sticker today that said "Housing is Health Care they are both Rights". Did that ever piss me off. How ironic that the Soviet Union listed food, housing, education, and medical care as rights; but they couldn't provide it because they are not rights. These things are all commodities that someone has to work their ass off to provide. The only system that energizes people to work their ass off is capitalism and the motive is profit. Adam Smith knew what he was talking about. Lennin and Marx didn't know jack shit.

Andy,

I know what you mean. My little girl is 11 and the other day, we were out taking a drive to somewhere and they were talking about this in the run up on the radio. I looked over at her as she was chattering about something and all I could think was about how I was ever going to apologize to her for what I let happen to this country. She's only 11.... how are they ever going to pay for this, and how will they ever forgive us?

Well at least 11 states are suing the feds, stating they can't force us to buy any commodity. Oklahoma is one of them but our AG is waiting for a final bill, while our senators and reps are vowing to kill this bill somehow...

I'm afraid this is the second "shot heard round the world" it's a sad day but time to cleanse our nation.

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER

This one is a little different.... Two Different Versions................... Two Different Morals

OLD VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away..

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green .'

Acorn stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Rev. Jeremiah Wright then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper , and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper .

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it..

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

Another tragic aspect to what is happening around us is our unwillingness to recognize the historical precedent that was set for just this very thing in the late -20's and early -30's in the wake of the Great Depression. The liberals, via FDR, told the country that they, in the face of economic collapse, would provide for them as their government. Entitlements. Enter the New Deal full of hope and change. For the next forty years, the democrats had the run of the place. The same groundwork is being laid here now.

This economic crisis has, in my opinion, been constructed deliberately by politicians to force this country into a state of profound need and desperation. Like babes in the woods, the people of this country are ill-prepared to fend for and feed themselves if the system goes down, i.e., New Orleans. The government knows that if they make us just a little needy, that the majority of people will be looking to them for help.

First step was raising minimum wage. Hundreds of thousands of low income and entry level workers were downsized because employers, forced to pay a higher minimum wage, couldn't afford to keep them all on the books. That was the first spike in unemployment which means less money for people to spend, less revenue into the economy and the first drop in consumer sales.

A year later, a second increase in the minimum wage triggered the same thing. More people out of work, more people looking to the government for unemployment, and less money for companies to use to survive. The result? Layoffs and closings. More and more people out of work. No job means no health insurance. Now, cut back funding for Medicaid and Medicare to take away two major options for unemployed and out of work Americans and you have even more desparation.

Government rides in on a white horse showing how much they care by saying that they'll take over healthcare to ensure that every American gets taken care of. Even a strong-willed man will see his convictions falter when he has children and a wife in need of care because of illness or injury. Once you get them on that government teat, you leave them there. Keep the economy in the crapper so they can't find a job. Yet. Get them accustomed and acclimated to reliance on the government so that when the next election cycle comes around, they'll think twice about voting for someone other than the guy that gives them not so much what they want, but what they have to have.

This country isn't being managed. It's being manipulated. Take a good hard look at everything and you'll be able to see the spiderweb-like connecting fibers that permeate every aspect of our world. Nothing that happens here is by mere chance, and destiny is nothing more than Democrat agenda.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Every Conservative needs to pick out their own pet Liberal so that, when it finally hits the fan, you'll have someone to hold responsible.

It is that radical Muslim named Obama that is causing the problem. He is very good at trickery, and the left wingers swallowed his lies. Hell, even though he has caused our country to become even further in debt, the knot heads still believe him. I heard on the news this morning that the IRS will be hiring 17,000 new agents to collect unpaid fines for failure to buy their new Government ran insurance. Now all small businesses that have 50 or more employees will be required to carry health insurance on their workers. Obama is doing everything he can to destroy America.

Do you have any doubtrs, Rich, that this is intentional? He wants us to believe that he's got this master plan to turn it all around, but doesn't it all just look like there's intent to do harm here? What do we think the end game is, beyond simply stating that he wants to destroy America? That's pretty general. Rather, what's his motivation? What does he or do they stand to gain from this? Is it a muslim thing? Is it a liberal-based hatred for prosperity for some, the unfairness of social classes, or a deep-seated contempt for the prosperity of the west versus the failure to prosper by many muslim nations? It's easy for us to say that he wants to destory America, but let's get down to the hows and whys.

I'm reading a book right now that explains what makes these assholes tick. It's called "LIBERAL FACISM" by Jonah Goldberg. These people have been amongst us since the 20's.

There is no doubt that the only thing that has delayed these progressives from ignoring the Constitution and taking over the country was Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. Bush was (bless his heart) just a bump in the road. However, just think of where we would be right now, had Al fucking Gore been elected, or John asshole Kerry?

Well, now we have Obama, the worst of the lot, He says; "WE WON" and is proceeding to dismantle every vestage of freedom we have left. I don't have a crystal ball, so I have no idea what's coming, but I fear it, nonetheless.

Good hunting. LB

It is absolutely intentional, CDog. Leonard is much wiser than I am, but I have believed since even before Obama was elected, that he is a radical muslim that was groomed by the nation of Islam. I believe that his orders are to destroy America from within. He is doing a good job of that now isn't he?

I'll tell you one thing.

Perhaps this is a bit petty, but I am really urked by the Democrats and Media using the phrase: "The law of the land" describing this extremely unpopular bill. I donno, maybe I'm sensitive but it strikes me as an "in your face" insult? CONTROL FREAKS!
