I've shot a few coyotes this past week or two. They've been going though my chickens like scours through a heavy screen.
I've not shot one within a quarter mile of the house. Most have been a half mile or more walking.
But I just picked up a 10ga. shot cup from the back yard.
I've never seen my dogs go more than 300 yards from the house with out my wife or I. Maybe I should start driving to my stands?

Leonard, By the time I leave, I plan to have scorched Earth for at least five miles around my place. I've lost close to 40 chickens in the last month, and payback is a bitch.
Send them if you want, they can find the coyotes by the buzzards circling overhead.

Tim,
Did you actually call those coyotes with one of those mouth blown calls that are fitted with a 50 cent plastic reed that is unable to reproduce CD quality sounds or even say the word "the"?

I don't have a clue what the reeds cost. But they are the mouth calls with soft rubber camo bodies. They are by far my favorite calls. I use electronics for certain types of stands, and hand calls for others. But when I get serious about wanting dead coyotes, I go to these two calls.
I don't know why you'd want a call that could say "THE" I don't think coyotes speak or respond well to English. And wouldn't these calls have a sound superior to CD Quality? There is absolutely nothing lost in the recording process, because it's a live sound!

Uh-Huh, Ed Scary calls are good ones alright. I hope Bill don't find out about all of those coyotes you called, I mean it may dampen his ego?

Bill makes a good call, I'll give him that. But it's way over priced. For the average recreational caller, why buy a WT, when you can get 80% of his caller, for 50% of the money?
And if you really need to knock down a coyote population, you don't need a fancy e-caller of any brand. You need a good coyote trapper, who understands coyotes, and knows how to work any type of call to his advantage.

I thought Joyce was the pole dancer in the family? She showed some moves at dinner last Sat. night. First she wanted to go into the bar area after dinner, then two minutes later, she remembered that she had to get up in the morning? Nobody else did, but we were outvoted.

Dan, If you haven't noticed, I don't have any ass left to freeze off.
And Leonard, the loss of my ass is why she can so easily out vote people!
Besides Koko, I'm old enough now to know when to come in out of it. I climb the pole, get my shit done and don't screw around. They make apprentice linemen for all of that extra crap!
