Leonard, Just wanted to thank you for your kind words over on the Night Hunting thread on MPH. I really enjoyed both yours and Danny's posts. You area true gentleman in every sense of the word.
For all you guys on here, you need to slip over there and take the time to read every word Leonard and Danny wrote. I just couldnt get enough. When you read it several times, you will gain a tidbit that you missed the first time. WELL worth the read. Thanks, Steve

I didn't have the energy to write much so I didn't. You and Leonard both did a great job. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Thanks, Amigos.
You know, sometimes organizing your thoughts and committing to printed words can be beneficial for both the writer and the reader. There are things you know, intuitively, but explaining some of it to those that don't possess the same knowledge requires logic and a step by step approach. Those of us that have the experience can use an economy of words like, "yup" "uh huh" "ya know?" and "oh yeah". The whole article can be reduced to one paragraph.
Actually, the pity is the loss of all the conversations that occur in the cab of a truck, those many hours, returning from a hunt. Successful or unsuccessful.
There were a lot of things I forgot to mention, but then again, when the question is not asked, the answer is unsaid, as well.

Leonard, Steve Craig and Danny B,
I was just over there for a quick look. You can believe that I will be going back too. With you three guys providing advice, that board is gonna get real popular. It is indeed rare for pro's like you to give away good solid advice that way. Thank you very much for your generous contribution to predator hunting.

Wow! Great reading! I've never seen Leonard speak so openly on the net before?
Steve, When you pattern your shotgun for hunting alone at night. Do you do it at night or during the day? I've found that I hold my shotgun different at night when hunting solo, ( despite making a conscious effort not to ) and will generally shoot high at night.

Thanks gentlemen.
Tim, One of the reasons I went to the O/U is when I look down the rib, I see all of it, and simply put the bead on what I want to shoot. You are correct about shooting high at night. I do the same thing with my 870. I really have to bare down with it, and refuse to use it at night. My Red Label is the finest shotgun I ever put to my shoulder. Both for predators and wingshooting.

Yep, that was awsome! Thank you fellas for sharing that hard earned knowledge! Some of the best info on this subject ever put out on the net, or anywhere for that matter.
As I was reading, I was thinking, if only we could capture these interviews on camera, it would make probably, no, definetly, THE most informational video out there on the subject of predator hunting. We obviously have the text and information, but still, it would make for an invaluable learning tool, and one of the greatest hunting video's of all time. Thanks again guys. Mark.

That was a pretty cool read.
Thanks to the 3 involved for taking the time to do that.
