I did see a post by Charlene, advising that Danny was in gaurded condition at the hospital in Reno, it was posted over on the Cali predator board. A couple days later, I saw a post by Danny, so I don't know if he was home, or had access to a computer in the hospital?

Leonard an email from the beastmaster:

Hello the house....Gerry Blair is not dead yet.Even though I did the stare down with the grim reaper, he blinked. I am feeling better, have a little more energy, and am able to peck away at the 'pooter using one finger from each hand. Lots of mistakes and am slow as hell. Will try to correct 'em all. If I miss a few, please do not sock it to me. I will be recovered one of these days and might remember where you live. I endeavor to keep a positive outlook. Am looking forward to a rut hunt for cow elk with JT during late September. Have made a date with The Higgins to hunt lion when the Wx cools (might not happen here in Havasu). Even so, I dipped into the butter and egg money and bought a 220 Swift. Used but looks new. Model 77 Ruger Mark II. Bull Barrel. Hunter finish on the metal, Free floated into one of the most handsome stocks I have seen. Looks to be highly patterned cocobolo. Topped with a 3x12 Trophy Model Bushnell.Yep, it is one heavy sumbitch.
Might have to hire a strong screamer to pack it around for me. Maybe Bill Rice or one of Jays' Rhinos. Wish Fred Cronk was still around or it might be him. Before he turned sick he was a real horse,
Have lost 15 or 20 pounds of weight, maybe because much of my food ends up on my shirt. Have oral surgery scheduled for mid June. Doc will pull or pound out ten snags from my lower gum. Hopefully will be slim and trim and have a new set of teeth come fall.
Not doing too much writing but was able to hunt and peck out a couple of thousand words for Ralph at Predator Xtreme on mouth calls, Ralph will be running my "The Lion in Winter" soon, such saying all I know (and maybe more) about big pussies. Soon after, look for "These Boots Were Made for Talking", a nostalgic piece that will likely make you laugh and might make you toss up your fry bread and beans. Please do not try to do both at the same time. Finally, am putting the final touches on the FoxPro book dealing with digital calling, Busy? Hell yes but it keeps me out of the bars. I loves you all, Gerry Blair

I just finished my first chemo treatment yesterday. Am kinda wiped out but no other side effects yet. They say this chemo stuff can add some time to my life so what the hell, might as well go for it.
Hey Leonard, I am too young to die but you won't find too many guys that squeezed as much life outta 66 years as I did. The last thing I am gonna do is go fishing up in the Sierras until I can't fish anymore. Be keeping in touch with you guys, have fun this summer.
Danny

Danny, I don't know if you are aware that a group of us EM alumni meet for breakfast in San Dimas on first Saturdays? I will mention your name.

Sierra's? Never fished Lake Topaz, but it's a beauty, been by it many times. Good luck with the chemo. By the way, my sister, (I'm sure you don't know her, she graduated at Arroyo '62) was diagnosed with stage III lung cancer just after Christmas. Had to quit work, too.

Good hunting. LB
