Hello,
This is Charlene, Danny's wife. Once again Danny is hospitalized and won't be around much. It looks as though he is losing his battle with cancer. Thanks for being Danny's online friends.

Terrible news, Charlene. Believe me, I know. Tell him that we are all pulling for him. Thanks for bringing him to the campout. We all enjoyed his company and I'm sure he had a good time. Just remember, it's not over 'til it's over. Thanks for getting the word out, we all appreciate it.

A few years ago vacationing with the family in Ruidoso, I drove over to meet the famed Danny B and to see the museum one day at the hotel in Corrizozo. I'm pretty sure that had to be Charlene that I saw from a distance giving her husband the ole evil eye. I could tell what she was thinking..."He better get his ass over here and help with the hotel chores and quit talking coyotes with that damn kid!" Or something like that anyway! LOL He took the time to visit, but I could tell he was suppose to be doing more important things.
I pray that he kicks its butt! God Bless.

Charlene, I pray that God is with you and Danny through these hard times. May you find strength from the prayers sent from many of the friends that you have across the nation, including my wife and myself here in Colorado. Hang in there and we pray that Danny beats the cancer and will be by your side for many more years.

I'm so sorry to respond so late. Danny and Charlene, This Danny and Charlene are praying for the both of you. I did just read an up-date from onecoyote in another thread. You shore have a great attitude Danny! We will pray for the both of you! Lots and Lots! I'm looking forward to the day when both sets of D's and C's can get together for some fun! ![[Smile]](smile.gif) You guys are a wonderful couple.

I'm told (by NASA) that Danny isn't doing very well and has opted out of Chemo and will do hospice. His remaining lung is affected, the prognosis is very dim, very little energy, he might have a month or two left? Kinda bleak, reminds me of Bruce Kennedy, ya know?

I had a very pleasant and upbeat conversation with Danny, today. Of course, some talk of old times and how these guys will never know what we did years ago. If you haven't done it, you just can't believe it. Old men and their memories. You young'uns will get there sooner than you think.
He knows it's just a matter of time, now. His kidney's are infected, but he has his appetite back and isn't losing any more weight. Can't walk very far without help, uses a walker when he can. And, gave his guns away! Boy, that must have been a little ....ya know?
His old friend and partner, Granville is coming up next week and I asked him to say hi for me. His brother is up there so he has company and Charlene takes very good care of him.
We talked a little bit about hunting Nevada in the good old days, hunting up 8A and stopping at Carvers for a piece of home made apple pie. Nobody knows where Carvers is anymore and even less know 8A. (upper and lower) Never see those days again.

As I don't know Danny as many of you do it's probaly not my place to say anything, yet I will anyway.
A while ago I figured out he went by Billy The Kid @ PMS..I enjoyed his "Charismatic" post's.
They were usually quite funny & informative @ the same time.Danny I learned much from you.

Thank you guys, I usually try to make my posts a little funny, unfortunately not everyone sees them that way. If I can pass on any information to help others I will gladly do so, that's what it's all about. BTW, Fred, it wasn't a Hummer, it was a gnarly, lifted Jeep. But my wife did make me buy a Hummer when we lived in New Mexico.... ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
