I've been reading John Trout's (otherwise excellent) book "Solving Coyote Problems". There is a short story included by Dee Walmsley - Nature Writer. It starts thus.....

"I watch him as he approaches with his nose to the ground, HIS GOLDEN TIPPED TAIL STRETCHED TO IT'S FULLEST."

I belive that the phrase I'm looking for would be; "WTF??" & "Point Value??"

Also interesting that they approach with their nose to the ground? I need to be more observant!

Oh, and I think Brent Ruebb, perhaps is the only person that would give you ten points.

Good hunting. LB

I thought the whole book was pretty elementry and focused for the urbanite in CA that has no idea about trapping or hunting. Overall very little value for anyone that has been doing this for any amount of time at all.

Just my two cents

Then I stand corrected; it must be my lack of experience that prevents me from judging a book about coyotes properly.

....or maybe 'cause you are about 95 miles north of where the real action is?

Good hunting. LB

PS But seriously, one sentence; nose to the ground? Golden tipped tail?

Leonard,

I was about to correct your distance as to where to find the most coyotes. But then there's no sense in having Kokopelli get his hunting grounds ruined by every pair of numb nuts with an IP address.

You keep sending them to ****** , and Vic and I will keep driving an hour an a half to our first stands.
