I'm so excited I can barely contain myself! Just thinking of all the old outdated policies and the CHANGE coming our way gives me a tingle up my leg!
I can't wait for Obie to release all those poor prisoners at Gitmo. I haven't slept well knowing they are behind bars without a trial, watching the jailers mistreat their Korran and being subjected to other indignities, like not being able to behead infidels and blow up innocent people because of their religion. I also think Obie needs to give back their right to hijack airplanes, it's been years since they have had a good crash. Love thy enemy, turn the other cheek, etc.
Good hunting. LB [ January 20, 2009, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

I dont know KoKo, unless there is some upheaval, we have probably seen the last free election in this country.
At the very least, the "poor downtrodden" have learned how to punch a chad. There arent enough of us that actually work and pay taxes in this country to outvote them.
Either way, were fucked.

Yeah, What I can't help but wonder though, is how long it will be before the diaper-heads test our new leader and launch a terrorist attack against us to see what his response will be. The bad guys learned that pissing Bush off wasn't a real good idea....

True. I got a kick out of Bin Ladens right hand man calling him the "House Negro". That was priceless. Hell, the terrorists dont even like the worthless motherfuckers.
IF the Big O and Pelosi and company try some shit to keep him in there forever, the good thing is, IF we have an uprising, I dont know of any military men that would follow orders to turn on American citizens. The ones I have talked to have a real hard time even taking any orders from their new CEO. (Slightly off topic, I asked our local sheriff what he would do if the feds told them to confiscate guns. He said he would tell them they are on their own and good luck taking guns away from the country people around here. They better have alot of body bags.)
This may get interesting. I know that IF the time comes, I ready to do my part. I know they didnt bring the country together, at least around here. Their is a wedge driven in now that will never be removed. At least from what I see locally.
Bush, IMHO, was one of the best presidents we have had. He made some economic blunders, but it was the bailouts. Not the lack of stepping in. The people got themselves in messes with mortgages they couldnt afford. The banks got themselves in messes by lending to people that didnt need to buy homes or not as expensive of homes anyhow. They all deserved to bite the dust. He shouldnt have bailed them out.
As for foreign policy, he was fantastic. I like a president with balls enough to stand up for what he believes in and bitch slap anyone foolish enough to jack with us. The problem is the folks in NY, for example, forgot the time they were pumping their fists in the air calling for blood after 911. Bush did a great job keeping us safe. Maybe too good for his own good. Maybe they need a wakeup call and see just what a bunch of weak kneed fuckups they have elected. Next time, and there will be a next time, they get hit hard and they fail to act, they will regret their actions and their cursing of Bush. Especially when the House Negro trys to sit down and negotiate. LMFAO.
Sad thing is the "poor downtrodden" will be too stupid to see it and vote the bastards right back in. That is IF we have elections again. We may have a dictator on our hands.

If it were only that easy. Just laugh it off when they take your scoped sniper rifle away. I just wonder how many of us are sheep to be pushed around and make no mistake, they will shove. Hard.
Just to get through the "HISTORIC" week, rent a bunch of DVD's. Cripes, they will probably outlaw hunting videos! Steve0, you listening? Back to work!

Yeah, but the ATF would just love to get a Carte Blanche.
And, it is difficult to comprehend the friggin' ego of this guy following in the footsteps of Lincoln. The family made a media event the other day visiting the Lincoln Memorial, and now he's on a train tracing A. Lincoln's travels to his Inauguration. He better bring his lunch if he has any notion that he will be remembered as a "Lincoln". Where will they find a hat to fit him? This really sucks, and be careful about any subversive language. Only the radical left can get away with things like that when ranting against Bush. LB

The same "group" that funded and succeeded with passing laws in Australia to ban ownership of all firearms is also funneling tons of money into the group that is trying to pass the "coded ammunition" laws here.
4 states I think it is so far are pondering this one.
I think it's a stretch to get Americans to turn over their firearms and ammunition. Allot of "cold dead hands" mentality running around. I think they will just do the good honest democratic thing they did in '96, just on a much worse scale. And by that I mean tax the holy living crap out of everything.
With that said though, I still cant believe they were able to get it passed in Australia. Crazy times. Oh and by the way, that model has worked great for Australians, only the criminals have guns there now.
Its going to be interesting to say the least.

The problem with Australia is they have more non-hunters than hunters and the hunters did'nt do much to promote the sport of hunting. Those that hunt did'nt want any comp. for the animals they where after so it was like each man for himself..

quote: Following in the footsteps of Lincoln
It was Lincoln that turns the civil war into a slavery issue when it had nothing to do with slavery. Slavery may have served as an occasion; it was far from being the cause of the conflict. The Constitution protected slavery in peace, but in war, Lincoln came to believe, the commander in chief could abolish slavery as a military necessity. Now when O gets in he will turn the gun issue into something more spectacular. He may use the “in war commander in chief” BS to abolish gun ownership.
Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus in some areas as early as Apr. 27, 1861, and throughout the nation on Sept. 24, 1862, and the administration made over 13,000 arbitrary arrests.
Bet with O wanting to create a national police force he can and will do the same at some point. Being from the South I have a hatred for Lincoln and by O trying to align himself with Lincoln I have a hatred for him also.
If California, New York City, Chicago and all the other big cities want to live a certain way so be it but don’t try and enforce your way of life on other states. I feel if we as states fight against the new laws forced on us by these so called do goobers. O will do as Lincoln and try to enforce those laws by economic means and then with troops.
It was Lincoln that sent Sherman to rape, rob and pillage on the Atlanta campaign on his march to the sea. It will be O that sends the National police to march in and take the freedoms we have left away.

It will be interesting to see if Obamanation follows through with his promise to close Gitmo on his first day as President. I think he will be impeached before his first year is up. Even the idiots who voted for him are beginning to see that the phony bastard isn't what he claimed to be. I saw an advertisement for a bumper sticker that reads "2009, the beginning of a new error". What an understatement that one is.

While I may not be a "Southerner" I am surely a southern sympathizer. There is a lot about the Civil War that gets glossed over by the Media. They have drummed up so much hatred about the Stars and Bars flying over State Capitals and make it a single issue; it represents slavery. Lincoln and the northern forces were no more innocent than the Confederates.
I think the 5/8th colored count of the population and the resultant minority in congress was as much responsible as any other issue. And, exactly WHY was it not allowed to withdraw from the Union? A million dead, worst conflict in our history and it wasn't fought because Lincoln and the north wanted to free the slaves. That's pure BS.
Good hunting. LB

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE: Bush Coming Home (AP)
Bush Coming Home (Yahoo)
You can bet not many folks here will be watching the inauguration.
Here are some pictures out of my office window this morning. Sorry they aren't so good...they are with my cell phone and out of a window 14 stories up. Maybe later, I can get some pictures of snipers or secret service on the rooftops. Nice to live in a town that actually LIKES the man. He should have a very nice welcome home later this afternoon.

There has been so much hate directed at Bush, that I have (uncharacteristically) been a bit subdued in expressing my opinion.
But, whenever I think of either Al Gore or that worm, Kerry as President of the United States during, and since 9-11, I am very glad to see that George Bush has balls and inspite of Liberal spin control, even the economy meltdown was the fault of Democrats wanting homeownership for all those poor black and brown people that never understood the responsibilities, and the greedy private sector, enriching themselves with commissions on subprime mortgages. Lots of blame, but how could George Bush run against such a feel good thing like everybody owns their own home? There are so many regulators, (Barney Frank comes to mind), that failed to control the mess, that anything Bush said on the side of caution would generate more hate from the fucking Media.
Just wait for the socialism and the liberal Supreme Court Judges and all the public works projects we can't afford. It's pure stupidity and we are going to be paying for this debacle for decades, if not longer. Kiss "Superpower" good bye. Hello China, hello Iran, Hello North Korea, Russia?; no preconditions, of course.
Weez fuked.
