The way I look at it, rebuplicans voted right and democrats voted for what they thought was right. The only thing that tipped the scales was all the people that got registered and voted just because of skin color and because they think since his skin is dark he will be good for them because their skin is dark. He rode on the word of "change" and the color of his skin plain and simple. The dem's found their "sure thing" ticket to get into the presidency.
Voting for someone because of skin color and not for what is best for our country just got us #ucked.

Regardless of what you think about her as an empty skirt, as they say(?) those same assholes that are now blaming her for this "HISTORIC" election; they picked her! Now, she don't know shit, right? Okay, maybe not, but to be complaining about her clothes budget and her media interviews is beyond disingenuous.
Fucking McCain never made the right choices. Or, whoever was running him? Brain dead. Competing against Obama, a guy without credentials, McCain should have won, going away. But, no, he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and is blaming the girl. Fucking asshole!

I agree they didn't do even a half assed job, but in all reality, I don't think any republican could have won this election after B.O. got the Dem's nomination.
You had people coming out of the wood work to vote for him because of his color. It had nothing to do with his ideas, or policies or anything other than he was black. People voted in this election who never voted before, and, who will probably never vote again. They didn't vote for a Presidential Candidate, they voted for a BLACK presidential candidate. Period. They have made a complete mockery out of the electoral process. I think it's the big reason the dems did not get behind Hillary more in the primary. They knew that no one was going to be able to beat the first real viable black presidential candidate, and they wanted the power. I think the republicans knew it too, and that's why Romney dropped out early. McCain was another Bob Dole, a sacrafical lamb put up for the slaughter by the GOP. It's all a big game to these people.
But in the end, this is going to backfire on a lot of them because as the country made history electing the first black man to the office of president, at the same time, brought to a screaching hault all the "I'm black and a black man can't get ahead in this country' crap you hear all the time. It opens the door for the for the day the republicans do get back into office to bring to a complete stop all the crap that has been handed out to every group who cries "poor me" because they are not white in America.
They've made their bed, and now they are going to have to sleep in in. Unlike you and me, who will only put up with this for the next 2 to 4 years, they now have to deal with it forever.
Life's tough. Wear a helmet.
And if that sounds racist - as Saracuda would say....you bettcha, but before they call me a racist, they better take a hard look in the mirror, because when 98% of the black vote goes to a black candiate, it sure isn't because his ideas are so much better than the other guys.
This election may be touted as bring whites and blacks closer together, but I think it will end up driving them farter apart.

I guarantee its drove a racial wedge. I dont know what fairytale world the pundits live in but I live in the rural midwest, it dont get much more down home America than here. And there is a big assed wedge driven. I would dare some fuckin "poor person" to come here celebrating or runnin their mouths right now. They wouldt be long for the world. Thats not a threat, btw, thats reality, and I wouldnt be the one doing it either....

Now McCain can reach across the isle and find a seat and stay where he belongs! I had to hold my nose to vote for him. He is actually the guy the dems would run to defeat a popular republican.
I am so sick of the assholes on capital hill they all should be removed from office and replaced by average americans that would serve two years and go home. Oh and after those self serving greedy bastards were removed from office a little horse whipping on the way out would be nice. The people need to take this country back and maybe run the common sense party. or is that too radical of thinking? I agree with you, Andy. I do not consider myself any sort of racist, but I'm sick and tired of the friggin' "race card" being played by "minorities". They have every advantage, take them advantages, created and approved by basically white people, and quit the whining. They ain't owed anything.
I think Obama's election will have a negative effect on race relations. Hello, what a shock to bleeding heart liberals!

If he's right about motivation, people are way more fucked up than I ever suspected? It's not logical to vote for Obama because you hate Bush. And, consider the shape of the Country had that weasel Kerry been elected. I'm not blaming Bush for what happened but there are plenty to blame and they should all be in prison, the greedy SOB's.
