I see that Les brought one to the campout. How did yall like it? How do you like it Les? Anyone else had any experience, pros or cons?

Im going Wednesday to drive one and check them out. Ive been thinking of buying a side by side for a while, but didnt like the width and most seemed topheavy. They appear to have worked out these bugs.

Any help appreciated.

Only thing I don't like about the RZR is that there appears to be very little cargo room in the back compared to the ranger

I drove the one Les brought up and drove it like a stole it. The suspension can really take a beating and rides very smooth. Acceleration was crisp and it could really get moving. I believe it has a 800 cc engine in it. Hunting in one was the opposite of what I did in this one.

have done alot of calling out of a polaris ranger in the desert, easy to conceal and coyotes don't seem to be to bothered by it.. they may hang up occassionally but are in rifle range when they do. Like the ride and loads of cargo space for rifles, cooler, tools boxes etc. Much quicker on rough roads than a pickup can travel. Love it.

I like those mules, they have 2 bench seats with the rear being collapsible. They aren't speed demons, but hunting isn't a race.

Andy,

I like my RZR. Very responsive acceleration, smooth ride, powerful, etc.

The only thing that I have a little bit of a problem with is the noise from the exhaust. They make exhaust silencers and I will be checking on getting one of these in the near future.

They have since come out with a new and improved RZR from what I have been told. Fox Suspension, wider stance(about 8 inches I believe), etc.

Tyler Higgens gave my RZR the workout at the campout....Tyler, fill everyone in!

Hope this helps.

Les J.

Thanks All!! [Cool]

Les,
Has it got quite a bit of room in it? Both for people, guns and other hunting gear? Coolers of beer and such for when pleasure riding. [Big Grin]

Im no speed deamon and dont care how fast it goes. Im more concered with width, to get down in these hardwood forrests around here. The reason it caught my eye was its about as wide as my four wheeler. The others I have looked at are too wide and seem top heavy.

Also, I want enough power to drag deer or hook a small trailer on to get firewood out of the woods.

Thanks Again,
Andy

For what it's worth... I've loved my yamaha wolverine. As far as pulling power, it will pull a black bear or deer along with two people on it. The only downer is the noise. You can't sneak up anywhere at 3 in the morning with a clear sky and no wind. Slight breeze though it seems to blend in well. Speed... well, let's just say it's great to baha! My neighbor bought those expensive exhaust silencer kits... it's worth the money!

I have a RZR and like it alot except for noise, I'm also planning on getting the added silencer for mine. I did call in one coyote and a redfox so i don't think the noise is all that badd..
You can get just about anything for it to make it more compatable, like gun scabboards and half windsheild, extra rack for the back so you can haul more.
I also have a mule 4x4 the only down side is the size, have to trailor it and the top end speed, only 30 MPH..
there are alot of good ATV out there just need to look around and find one that fits youre life style..
