Sunday a group of teenage girls and boys were out for a day on the water. As the sixteen year old skipper leaned over he was grabbed by a 11' Alligator. The Girls were terrified as the Boy popped up beside the boat minus one arm from the shoulder down.
As they were getting him in the boat, the gator surfaced and swallowed the entire arm. Gators have very dull teeth as they grow older. They have to twist there bodies to tare apart there victim. Then surface to swallow it hold, they can not swallow under water.
The other members of the party went into action. They got a tourniquet on what was left of the arm as the others contacted 911. This resulted in the Coast Guard helicopter heading there way. Also two Game wardens arrived in time to shoot the Gator, open him up and retrieve the arm. Both the young man and his arm were loaded on the same chopper.
Last report, the arm had been sewed back on. His condition is listed as stable. He has a long way to go, but thanks to friends and officials he got a hell of a jump start.

I heard about that on the radio. Quite a story.
Anyone know how to call gators?

Holy Crow Ronnie... How did I miss this post! So any updates on this kid? Can you imagine the others and what thoughts or nightmares are running through their heads seeing this thing unfold?
My Gawd... soooo Ronnie... what call or sound would you recommend? I remember seeing all of those gators when I came down to visit! Just the thought of me setting at the back of the boat and what if's... wow... that's scary!

Tim... do you really think ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) That's one problem with being a blonde, some things just go over my head BTW... How's that beautiful Mrs Behle doing? Maybe everyone see's me as bait since my writer friends nicknamed me Crowbait
Professor... no jet ski's were ever mentioned on the boat ride... lol But if we ever wanted to do some gator hunting, we certainly were well within their domain!
