How many here are planning on entering the calling contests at the World Expo?
I plan on calling both, Distress and Howling divisions.
Who else is participating?

Yeah, he couldn't talk to me this morning because his new BFF (Dan Carey) dropped by, then this afternoon, he cut me short again, because he needed to practice his jackrabbit.
Good hunting. LB

Heath,
Best Friend Forever is the School Girl Version.
But it could also stand for a Butt F***ing Fantasy.
Edit: I'd probably pick Angelina Jolie, but to each his own!

I going to head out there and stand behind the curtain, It just sounded like the best seat in the house and a good place to meet everybody.

I think Cal should go and turn loose his pet coyote as soon as the first guy starts in with a rabbit squall.

I'm probably warped, but that concept, (school girl version was what I had in mind), just cracks me up!
Seems like they are spending way too much time together, jealously and all that, but I'm mainly peeved that Dan has not bothered to answer my email of a couple days ago. What's up with that?
Good hunting. LB

Hell, maybe he don't like you. LOL

whispers(He does seem to be a bit opinionated. At least, from some of his posts with DAA, and all. Maybe it's just me.)

Hey Buckwheat, you just won the PA calling contest. Congratulations. That puts you in front of the curtain. I'll look you up at the contest.
Posted by Cranky Farmer (Member # 3029) on July 30, 2008, 09:07 PM:
I can't make it this year to enjoy the festivities; I wouldn't enter the contest. It is just about an hour and half drive from my place in MO, though.
Posted by Buckwheat (Member # 655) on July 31, 2008, 05:49 AM:
Rich H.
I am looking forward to meeting you and I will not be hard to find; I will be the guy that has all the girls standing around me.
All kidding aside, this is possibly the only time I will ever get to be at such an event unless god blesses me again. As far as the curtain goes, my statement about being behind the curtain is that some of the best people will be standing behind the curtain calling for the judges. So I am pumped up about just being there and possibly getting to talk to most everyone that entered the calling event. I hope this is a good and exciting calling event for everyone that entered and new friendships are formed. I know I am looking forward to having a good time and doing my small calling part for the crowed. As you can tell I feel blessed and good about just being there. Look, you want to talk too little old me, I already won.

Ernie, do you know Dave Dunbar and George Ackley?

Rich
I know Dave for a couple of years, I know George mostly from his internet posts.

Buckwheat- were you previously named "2dogs" on this site? Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought "2dogs" changed his name on PM to "Buckwheat" years ago. Could be wrong-

Sorry you have the wrong guy. Some boards I spelled my web name as buckweat, but have been trying to stick to Buckwheat.

I might be mistaken, but I think that was kirby. He called his brother 1dog. Buckwheat are you the call maker? You probabaly know how to make one of those calls sing?

2dogs was the hole huffer that used to post photos that looked like they were taken from a space, they were so far away and featureless. Then he would say some dark pixtel was a coyote, and I would squint and look and never was sure where it was he was talking about. Seriously in need of a telephoto lens, that guy. lol
Good hunting. LB

My apologies Buckwheat, for some reason I had my names all crossed up. I suppose you are Ernie Wilson - the call turner from way back? I believe I spoke to you briefly back in 2005 when you first came to Midwest Predator. Sorry for the confusion:
Dennis, you're right about Kirby. LB seems to remember 2dogs the same way I do. You can imagine my excitement when I thought he was active once again! Shaw, Q and CrossJ spat a little chew on the monitors during those old chat sessions surrounding the latest hole-huffing antics. Good times.

I do not think I can make them sing, but I can get some very unpleasant sounds out of them every now and then that sounds like music to me.

No need to apologize, I wish every one would use there real name on boards. I have gotten to the point I can hardly stand board names.

Believe it or not, I had forgotten about the hole-huffing claim and those pictures of flecks of pepper taken from Saturn.
I also remember 2d talking about using a sextant, triangulation, the size of an ear of corn, barbwire spacing, and some sort of black magic to figure the range of a bedded coyote only to promptly shoot over a coyote at 100 yards.(I made that up, but the 2dog ranging process was about that complicated)
Yep, Good times
