Okay, in a nutshell.

Jay Nistetter came on to the forum they created for Higgins and began baiting him. Before this happened, the supervisors installed another moderator in his forum, and it was this man who finally shut down the discusion, by closing the thread.

Then, there was some complaints about closing the thread and a short time later, the Boss made a post and said the whole Forum was being closed and both moderators had resigned.

So, there was still some disagreement about methods and I offered my unvarnished opinion of the manor it which they handle things, and as expected, was abused for my concern....which I probably deserve, no problem

But they have the lackys dog piling everybody that has the temerity to questions their decisions.

And, yes. When push comes to shove, they always seem to mention the Okie club and the fact that others aren't so fortunate.

That's about it, but I talked to Higgins earlier and he said he was in the moderator forum and complained, or at least asked about the board policy of unilaterally closing a thread without discusing it with the other moderator.

That's as fair an accounting as I can offer?

But, Kelly Jackson posted an anonymous quote that I found to be both eloquent and profound. It sounded familiar so I wanted to thank him but (unfortunately) they pulled my ticket.

However, I was somehow logged out and my password won't work, but I don't have anything more to say, so it don't matter. They keep stressing that Oklahoma brotherhood stuff, and if it's so important why don't they password protect the board after checking I.D.s? Ya know, make it exclusive, secret handshake? But, come to think of it, they don't want or need advice, most definitely from me.

Looks like some of them Okies ( Not all ) have some pretty thin skin. A sure sign that they are 'net newbie's.

They must have deleted all of the offensive and bullshit posts, that or I just didn't take it the same way.

I'm with you Leonard, I miss Bomba too. I wish the two of them would put the past behind and we could have them both back here posting side by side, and joking once again. I really miss Uncle Jay's twisted sense of humor.

Me too, Tim. I miss Jay and all of his personas. (I think the movie SYLVIA was based on his life?)
I have the occassional spat with a family member, we clear the air and put it behind us.
When I cleared the air with Jay he divorced me. [Smile]

And that also makes it so a guy has to stand up on his own two feet. That, I think, is a problem for some of the weaker minded individuals. They panic when they can't find a moderator to hide behind. See, that's just it. I don't like to see censorship by board operators unless it involves something especially intolerable. Yet, there it was, I did it last night, and I think I gave my reasons. On several occasions the OPCA braintrust was explaining to me that I was halucinating or had lost all powers of rational thought. Last night I gave wqhat I thought was an honest timeline of what happened and this coffee guy was telling me that I was totally wrong with my report. Now, their version of reality is permissible over there, but I blew my cork with the copy and paste and his step by step refute of my words. Dang, I'm old, but does senility start out with getting everything backwards? I thought I'd probably start craping my pants first before it got to the point where I didn't know black from white or up from down?

So, there are two forms of control. You can delete anything on a message board, or you can do it like the Scientologist's, mind control and group think. That's what they got going on. Apparently, maybe they came from disfunctional families and greatly fear that every discusion will turn into chaos and violence, hammer and tong?

I was suddenly logged out and my passord won't work and said so. Their response is to call my statement a big lie? Okay, whatever, I'm done, but several times the big cheese has weighed into a thread and strongly suggested that it be ended, move on. Shit, as far as I'm concerned, I let those things run on until everybody has had their say, I never control the conversation in that way, although I have no problem joining in to the dialogue. I don't know, a subtle difference, but that's the way I see things, and what my mission is as far as contributing to the body of knowledge as it relates to the art of predator hunting. Hmmm? I thought I had something to contribute, but based on what a few of those guys have told me, I'm running a den of inequity? No value, 9000 posts, 40 years of experience and it's worthless crap to them Okies?

I actually thought I was offeringconstructive criticism, and in return, I was insulted. Okay, I'm okay. It's kinda funny, in a way. Haven't had a board war in some time, and it's all my fault! Well, they can kiss my ass. The whole point is, they treated a friend of mine in a shabby manor and I stick up for my friends. I won't be back and I don't want them stiring shit over here 'cause I get grumpy in my old age.

You've pointed out exactly why you won't see any of them over here my friend. You allow the issue to be fully "vetted"(a new word I picked up from the presidential race jargon),and if you don't have the mud to hold up your wall here, it all comes tumbling down.
There are no coattails to hide beneath,or moderators to act as referees, only the substance of ones arguement,and that can play on for a half dozen posts,or a couple of pages if needed.
Thats why I like this place, an arguement can be discussed until it's resolved, or just flat runs out of gas. Not get to the good part, when you know someone is going to have to fold his hand because he is bluffing or bullshitting.
Humility is humbling and honorable,and dog done it, who doesn't enjoy seeing a bullshitter get taken down a notch or two:)
