President Bush's economy boost tax rebate has got me thinking.

Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart,all the money will ultimately go to China, if we spend it on computers, most of the money will go to Korea or India. If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs ...... and none of these scenarios will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America .... so the only way to keep that money here at home is to drink beer, gamble, or spend it on prostitution. Currently it seems that these are the only businesses still left in the U.S. [Roll Eyes]

Yes our money will go over seas to other countries, but don't they also buy products from us in return? Like grain, furs, ect.

Very little in respect to consumer goods. Thats the big 'trade deficeit'.
I told someone the other day, that if I do get one of those refunds, I am gonna split it three ways between the Oklahoma Lotto, tattoo parlors and a casino or two. Thats were most of its going around here anyway.

Mine's going into my "new truck" fund. The only decision I have to make is which year, make and model.

None for me Tim, just figure thats will be the destination of alot of the rebate money.
I guess I could buy a truckload of 'sharpie' markers, and open up a shop.

Now there is a sport that should have never been outlawed! Nothing wrong with a good barefoot fight!

Now the closest place that I can legally watch them is in Mexico, but they are a hell of a lot more fun when you can speak the same language as everyone else there!

The refunds would best be spent on AR-15s. Come November we may need them to help take the country back. LOL Hildebeest is all we need at the helm. We will go from a country to a CUNTry over night! It makes my teeth hurt thinking about it.

Good hunting.

Q,

There you go again, Quinton. I'm still defending remarks you made three years ago! Now, the Feminists will only remember (years from now) that Leonard (the jerk) is against women.

I feel your pain. I owed the bastards a grand,so I presume they will subtract what I owe them, and stimulate me with 200 bucks?

Here are some tax bracket comparisons from the Clinton era versus GW regime.

I'm expecting to get a Federal return this year for the first time since 2001. I plan on spending it in Honduras in a couple months- they need it more than we do... 3rd world country and all. [Wink]

I got my free money today and a note came with it saying that we do not have to claim it as income, or pay it back... Lance was all worked up over nothing...LOL

My big ole Bush rebate came last week via electronic deposit of six hundred bucks. Now THAT is really gonna stimulate the economy. Shucks, I might just celebrate by going down to Burger King for one of those new "Steakhouse" burgers. [Cool]

Be sure to "Supersize" it Rich!

I have not heard a thing, but if I get a check (which I doubt) I'll spend it on a fill up.

Good hunting. LB

Don't bother with those "Steakhouse" burgers. They are just an over priced crappy hamburger. You can do a hell of a lot better on your own grill.

"You can do a hell of a lot better on your own grill."

Tim,
You can say THAT again! Even cheap wieners taste good when fresh off the old grill. [Smile]

For anyone who hasn't received their stimulus payment here's how to check the status.

'Where's my stimulus payment?'
Here's how to check on your federal economic stimulus payment:
Online
• Go to www.irs.gov and click on "Rebate Payment Questions?" at the top of the page to reach the Economic Stimulus Payments Information Center. Scroll down for a link to a payments schedule and an "Economic Stimulus Calculator."
• To check on your individual payment, scroll down further and click on "Where's My Stimulus Payment?" To get to the secure online status tool, you'll need to click again below where it says, "Okay now, you've checked the schedule and you're ready to find out Where's My Stimulus Payment?"
By phone
• If you have any questions about your payment, or to check the status of your payment, call the toll-free Rebate Hotline at 1-866-234-2942.
• You may also call the main IRS help line at 1-800-829-1040 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. weekdays Tucson time. It's generally easier to reach a human later in the week and later in the day, an IRS spokesman said.

After posting earilier, I saw a letter to the editor where not everyone will be receiving what they thought they would. The letter suggested checking the irs website and using the calculator to find out exactly what, if anything, you will receive.

As for "stimulating" the economy, I had originally planned to take a trip next month but, that's now out of the question. Back to the drawing board for Plan B.

It pays to have a fertile wifey.

I filed an extension this year. Not sure if I'll get back anything!?!?
