I have been reading Carlos Hathcock books for several years now, and never loose my fascination.
When I was a kid I wanted to be Roy Rogers, now that I'm an old fart I wish I could have been Carlos Hathcock!

When I was a youngin'(still am I guess) I started reading about Vietnam and Special Forces. Something about the jungle and the type of warfare that was encountered there intrigues the hell out of me.

Smithers have you read "Shooter" about marine sniper Jack Couglin in Iraq?
I agree about the intrigue factor. Simply amazing what a guy like Hatchcock could do with a rifle and have nerves of steel in tense situations. The youtube interview was the first time I've ever heard Hatchcock speak despite reading most everything I could get my hands on about his experiences in in Vietnam. Thanks for posting it.

No Lonny I have not. I have heard about him and the book but have not read, yet. I also heard The movie SHOOTER was loosely based on his abilities or something to that affect:)

That book, Shooter, is a good one. Very enlightening.

The book "shooter" is not the same as the movie by that title. The movie "shooter" was based on the book 'Point of Impact' by Stephen Hunter.
