Some of you guys probably know or remember Pete from several of the predator boards over the past ten years. Pete usually went under the name "Pete from ID" or something close to that.
Well cancer finally got the best of Pete last week and after one hell of a long fight he finally gets to rest. Pete was 62
I met him about 10 years ago and was instantly impressed with what he had accomplished as a predator hunter. And he was an even better all-around person. He had called predators in most every western state and had called and killed everything from lions and bears to kit fox. He knew and hunted with a bunch of well-known predator callers over the years and even has a couple photos in the "Predator Calling with Gerry Blair" book.
Anyway I know Leonard and Danny might have crossed paths with Pete while participating in the California predator clubs. Whenever I talked with him he brought up the good times he had on the club hunts.

Yeah, that's too bad. I'm very sorry to hear that, Lonny. Thanks for telling us the sad news.
Pete and I had competed several years at the state level, I have results (records) from the seventies, for instance, where we both placed in the top ten. He knew all my secret places, too! However, I didn't really get to know him on a personal basis until the boards. I knew he was sick some time ago. We will miss him.

I liked Pete. He occasionally sent me some of his photos. great pics, some very old.
