Been lurking here for a while, and sure like the atmosphere. Especially Leonards post about rules. [Cool]

My name's Burger and I live in the Mojave desert of So. Cal. I have a home on ten acres, with about 3,000 acres of open land out my back door. In the beginning that was enough land to hunt. Now I do some driving to my stands. [Razz]

A few years back one of my dogs barely survived a coyote attack. After it happened a second time, I figured a varmint gun would be cheaper than vet bills.

Fast forward to today, and as you all can relate to, I'm obsessed with calling coyotes. Been through JS tapes, Prey Master, and now use the FX5. I'm getting bobcat tags this year, as I've had a few slink in to the call. And so the addiction grows. [Roll Eyes]

I've enjoied reading all that's been posted here and hope to get to know you guys. Was able to attend the seminar in Norco Ca. this past summer where Gerry Blair, Rich Higgins, and Les Johnson spoke. The little bit I had learned seemed even less after listening to them speak.

Glad to have found this site,
Burger

Well Welcome aboard & all of that!!
I was a long time lurker myself until I stepped into the light.

Those really fancy small game arrows that you may find now & then along the Aqua-duct road....they were mine.

Can you still get up into the Scodie Mts??

Welcome to The New Huntmastersbbs.com, Burger. Glad to have you on board. Hope you didn't languish very long while awaiting approval? I was on a little trip.

Good hunting. LB

Welcome Burger. I hope you introduced yourself at Norco. If not you can do it at the campout. Gerry and Les will be there and about 30 other guys that are just as obsessed as they are.

Thanks for the welcome!

Kokopelli...I believe I'm further south than you are thinking. Are the Scodie Mtns. in the Kern/Tehachapi area? I haven't run across any arrows. I'm east of Big Bear and north of Joshua Tree National Park at about 4,000' elevation.

Leonard...Didn't languish at all, thanks.

Paul...Yup, I've made a few posts at pm. I too notice those posts that come from my area. There is one guy from this general area who posts a lot of kills. I can tell when I do a stand where he has hunted...I turn on Lightning Jack and all the coyotes run the other way. [Wink] [Razz]

Rich...We spoke briefly at Norco. Being in that group of like minded guys was nice. Makes me think I'd really enjoy the campout.

Burger; I used to do some stomping around between Jawbone & the road to Issabella. Access to the Scodies was in there somewhere. Pretty country up on top.

Now, what you got to say? LB

Thanks Leonard, I'd say it doesn't take hardly any incentive to hunt coyotes. Looks pretty painless to get a non-resident Az. hunting license too.

Go ahead and send it.
