I know we all hashed out our feeling for law enforcement in another thread, but I heard this on the radio this morning and laughed. I try to be fair in what I do. This guy was just an idiot though.
Listening to Bob and Tom this morning they started reading some news headlines from around the globe. They started talking about a law enforcement officer, I think he was from Ohio or Iowa, that stopped a vehicle for speeding then called for back up. Once his back up arrived he got back in his car and left. The back up officer proceeded to run the stopped driver through the field sobriety tests and ended up arresting the driver for DUI.
So far so good. Then they happen to mention that the driver (who is now going to jail) is a fellow officer from the same department.
I'm OK with this so far. I agree that a drunk is a drunk wether they have a badge or not.
Now is where this gets funny. Turns out that the drunk officer is a female and happens to be married to the officer that stopped her!!
He knew his wife was at some sort of social event and was going to be drinking. So he stops a vehicle he owns and has his own wife arrested for DUI.
Don't know if he is going for "Officer of the Year". I'm fairly certain he will not be voted "Husband of the Year" though.
I've seen a whole lotta stupid in my time but, this guy takes the cake!!

id bet there is more to the story, wife out drinking without husband? husband pulls her over. there is a good possibility that he had a good reason. she might not make wife of the year either.

That happened here in Elko. Another interesting twist is that it was the second time he had pulled her over that night. And she is also an LEO.
Things are getting more complicated.
